  5. I've given the side of the radiator a right bash at the weekend and was wondering if fitting guards will not let the rad breath properly . Ive made a couple that would cover each side completely .and yes I know I should have done this before it happened ! Anyone know the cost of a new rad ? Cheers mike.
  6. The bike sits in with the front wheel into the corner behind drivers seat an the back wheel hard to the left. Tie downs from the front two hooks to the bars and tiedown into right hand footrest to rear right hand hook. Hope this makes sence!! Cheers mike
  7. Plenty about at the northeast trials , seem to give no probs and most are ridden by good riders doing the harder stuff.
  8. Good question ,! I've just changed mine for first time and used putaline light gear oil 75w. Think I'll changed to ATF if recommended. I run my Ty on ATF with no probs what's so ever. Cheers
  9. Hi , I used my plumbing blow lamp on a very small flame , keep moving the direction of the flame though or it will burn. Cheers mike
  10. Hi , ye I had the same problem with genuine front guard for a 315 montesa. I just heated it slightly where the bracket is and bent it up the way . That done the trick.
  11. Hi tony , I would recommend sidi zero's, they are comfy from the start. Had mine about 3 years and are used most Sundays. Not really waterproof but a pair of sealskin socks do the trick. Worth the money. Cheers
  12. Hi Bigfoot, what model of bikes it from?
  13. Thanks a lot for all the replays. Very interesting to here the different views .cheers mike
  14. Which bike is best .beta evo 250/300 or gas gas txt 250/300 .? Cheers , mike
  15. Hello. Thanks Brian! Do I know you? Perhaps you could introduce yourself next time you see me snapping away! It was such a nice day to be out taking photos and it's very nice of you to comment on them. Have to thank Bill for lending me his all singing and dancing camera (much fancier than my usual!!)and Gordon for putting the photos onto Trials Central and, of course, all the riders who put on such a good show! Hil
  16. have to agree. well done tam and everyone else involved. sections were spot on and weather tropical! good to get the chance to ride safe sections. turps what a spill!
  17. There was a golf tournament on one year and Rock Ness is usally on at the same time which may make for busy roads! Trial is well worth the journey, though! Well laid out and well run - I'd book now if I were you! This is the trial to be at!
  18. WELL DONE TO ALL INVOLVED ORGANISING AND RUNNING THE TRIAL TODAY. THE SECTIONS WERE WELL MARKED OUT TO BE CHALLENGING BUT NOT DANGEROUS. THANKS FOR A GREAT DAY! MIKE
  19. the directions are in this weeks t+mx news. sorry but i cant find mine. he will enjoy the trial as its always sencibily marked out, with three courses to suite everyone. enjoy
  20. go for the jitsie jacket! had one since they came out. the sleeves come off in warmer weather, also has a lining that comes out. really comfy to ride in. only fault ive foundis, that in really cold weather best to wear a neck tube(buff) to keep out the draughts round the neck. best of luck.
  21. JUST A FEW WORDS OF THANKS TO EVERYONE INVOLVED IN RUNNING THE TRIAL TODAY. ITS TYPICAL THAT THE HEAVENS OPEN ON A SUNDAY! IT WAS BRILLIANTLY SET OUT AND A GREAT RUN ROUND. SPECIAL MENTION MUST GO TO EVERY OBSERVER STANDING OUT IN THAT HORRENDOUS WEATHER. THANKS AGAIN. MIKE
  22. What a fantastic trial it was! It's the first time I've ridden it and it certanly won't be the last. Sections were spot on with a choice of A and B routes. They were all long traditional sections with more than enough to make you work. With two laps each day of 18 sections and a good long lap what more could you ask for? Very enthusiastic observers doing a great job on what would turn out to be long days - they were still smiling at the end of it - Thanks to all. It makes me wonder why the pre '65 Scottish can be over subscribed and a trial like this is more or less ignored. All I can say is make the effort next year, you won't be disappointed. Again, thanks to all at the Inverness & District Club for running such a great event. Mike
  23. You could join the Dunfermline & District Motorcycle Club - they have a website that will give you details of contacts, where trials are, etc. They also have training days for new starts whatever age you are! They will give you lots of good advice, too. Just enjoy it!
  24. LOOKING FORWARD TO THE WORLD ROUND. HAVING ATTENDED THE BRITTISH EXPERTS LAST YEAR AT THE SAME VENUE, I CAN RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO ATTEND. THE SECTIONS AT THAT TRIAL WERE CAPTIVATING TO WATCH. EVERYONE HAS PUT SO MUCH WORK INTO THIS AND TOTALLY DESERVES THE TRIALS FANS TO TURN OUT IN LARGE NUMBERS. BEST OF LUCK.
  25. ONLY 2 WEEKS TO GO !! 9.5 WORKING DAYS !! 2 TRIALS !! 1 FOOTBALL MATCH !!
