  1. Not at all, the classic over 40 is a joke in my opinion and has never attracted anything like a quality entry ever. If the Novagar was eased and the over 40's who can ride a bit like Andy hipwell John Hulme Dave Knaggs Anthony Brockbank etc perhaps they would have a decent championship? Whether the novagar shuold be eased was discussed at the forum its a shame you weren't there, but there would be nothing to stop you riding and competing and winning on say 10 instead of 20 or 30 surely? This would ease up the level for the MAJORITY. Surely this would help and then increase entries etc worth a try?
  2. This was the points raised, that basically people like Dan Thorpe and Tom Sagar have the british champs then there is classic but not much imbetween. The original idea was for an easier series but it seems to have got harder year on year.
  3. I have to say if he is on Montesa (big if) I would offer odds for 2nd position or less, if he swaps I would say he would get title 8, easy.
  4. Yes less rounds and an easier trial, and hopefully an over 40 class aswell.
  5. As Fuji is the top rider from Japan just can't see him moving, but he does have alot of big outside spomsors. Doug I'm just not sure HRC want to pay him what he's worth. Also what bothers me is if his contracts up for renewal why no announcment that he is staying? Dominic, want odds for doug on a Mont in 2006????
  6. It was Perce's place why he wanted to stay there I'm not sure but I thought the list he sent beforehand with various items like Kagool, torch, kendal mint cake and clean sheets a bit strange till we got there, nice and handy but I seemed to appear on the washing up rota more often than he did........
  7. we stayed in the youth hostel thing at the top of the hill it was reasonable and walking distance to the start and pubs.
  8. Most important of the improvements was the change in gear ratios, much better than the 02.
  9. Trust me that is a big relief, NSPCC when you can Andy.
  10. Is washington the nearest Trans Atlantic Airport, then a short hop to?
  11. Thanks Andy this is just the stuff that TMX should be telling us, but never do.
  12. That'll ensure a mass of lakelanders with the right numbers then?
  13. Speak to alan Bird or al the spanner they are both knowledgable and within 40 mins drive surely?
  14. Credit where its due, for whatever reason Raga has won the WTC fair and square and seems to be set nicely for a few years yet. Next year will be good as the youngsters are hot on his heels.
  15. Who wouldve thought that at the beginning of the year we would see Dabill close to Doug after 1 lap, well done top trial teamster.
  16. Are the clutch plates metal????
  17. They will definately be at the TDN on 25th. of this month.(september)
  18. Pretty much done and dusted if Raga puts in a decent performance on Sunday 4th. Or if he wants to drag it out he could win with a 10th and a 6th. More interesting will be the runner up battle lets Hope its doug as two seconds and seven Firsts is some achievement.
  19. So sort of Prescott award for the biggest van (two Jags) Blair award for widest grin after hurting yourself, Alistair Campbell award for the best spin on why you didn't win and so on?
  20. Definately going now if anyone has comments or questions mail me and i'll bring them up
  21. I know what you're saying but some people are not as brave as you, but that doesn't mean that what they have got to say has no value importance or credence, unless signed.
  22. Ithink JD was refering to the recent MX debates that has been on going in the letters page, and as far as TMX is concerned they are happy for you to write in and be annonymous in print (as long as you put your name in the letter to them) and I know of a few who have done this. I think alot of people are afraid of upsetting the organisers/perhaps ACU etc/sponsors by complaining or critisisng and this is why they do it. People are what they are and whilst it may be your choice to stand on a named soap box and shout it this is not everyones choice, and here in England the close trials community as far sponsors and organisers are concearned can be easily upset, just look at the mild comments that Bradford got re: observing at the recent WTC.
