Alexz is obviously on his way back from Italy so he has had no chance to read everyones kind comments, he does go on the board regularly and I know all the kind comments are always much appreciated. Be in no doubt he and his family have worked very hard for these two championships.
In beautiful sunshine at the picturesque setting of the foothills of the Italian alps the UEM EUROPEAN Championships for ladIes and youth reached there climax in this third round in Villar Pellice not far from Turin. Predictable Laia Sanz 1 beat Iris Kramer 11 for top spot followed not so far behind by Becky Cook on 18 and Maria Conway with 19ml. This podium was exactly the same as the championship result. On the harderYouth 125 route the faultless display of Alexz Wigg riding every section clean was simply world class and ensured his second successive European Championship in devastating style. After section inspection on Friday afternoon the riders asked for the sections to be toughned up which resulted in losses for all of Alexzs rivals by section two. The decisive section four halfway up the mountain where only Alexz and Ross Danby cleaned in style settled any remaining nerves Alexz had and from then onwards it was a case of no mistakes and the trial was won. Easier said than done as many of the sections were big rocks and tricky turns which caught many of the top riders for odd dabs and occasional 5's. Section 9 was big with Alexz succumbing to an unusual sumping out which he recovered quickly with no loss, Danby and Andrews cleaned also with style. At the end of lap one Wigg O Gomez 5 Danby 7 Liotard 9 Andrews 1O. The second lap was not a formality as with the severity of the sections and the relatively low scoring it was there to be lost for Alexz. The clean lap and cushion of marks lost seemed to encorage Him to ride with more confidence and after cleaning the tough fourth section for the second time he was totally focussed on cleaning the entire trial. This he did and with it his second UEM championship.
How long (time on the bike) is that hells gate thingy and that other enduro that ends in the dark up some big hill in France??
Even if Knighter was to manage a good time what would be the differential in marks between him and say Jarvis Connor and the like. The value of local knowledge (see riders like Phillip Alderson) cannot be underestimaed
Actually Ive only ridden it once in the last few years although I have entered 3 times. Pulled a hamstring one year and broke my collarbone last year on the friday before, this yaer I'm in Turin the same weekend unfortunately.
I got a first class award back in the 80's one of my most treasured trophies.
Yes I have ridden one, my issues are few but significant (in my mind), however I don't really want to get into a list of whats bad about this bke or any other for that matter, the power of a 125 4t tralie motor will never be as good as that of a 125 Sherco and that was what the thread was about.
A couple of others use the rim tapes in the past so my wheel builder said, what is worrying is that the bike shop couldn't work out it was tubeless because of the tape, the phrase "not technically competant" springs to mind.
This is the only technique that I think was discovered by someone who was so p****d off with not being able to get the tyre seated using the non beader way they literally wanted to set the thing on fire.
I made a few suggestions. Have you done anything about those?
Bell house field, maidenhead I think, used to be a trial venue but due to illegal riding it has finished. perhaps you can swallow that nugget and then realise that having enduros and mx's knowing where we ride is not necessarily the best thing.
Why don't you register your trials bike?
Yes the cessna engine has a really good hose which I fitted but I'm not sure of the part number. Will try to find out. Ordered it mail order and it was
