I am absolutely sure its riding technique, I have had the same problem every year when the weather changes here in the south, and basically you need to get your weight well back and then some. my guess is the normal riding position is not helped by the way you have probably been spoiled by the Montesa. Once perfected you should be fine. have you tried an IRC?
Sftening a motor will not increase grip one jot, and when you get a deep or burn through section any softening will work against you.

Subira and me did it before and it was good seeing a bit of the backstage getting autographs(not me of course) and having dougie ride into the hospitality tent after.

There was some very good stuff in Trialsworld, the stuff that John Hulme has the old Brochures were interesting. The features on all the Young lads coming through and the WTC reports fitted nicely in there. It wasn't perfect but perhaps if they hadn't sponsored the Hawkstone round it might have lasted longer? An annual thing would be great but the last thing I would want to buy would be a TMX annual which is happening I think.
The American version of TNX produces one and its very good, a bit like a coffee table magazine with an annual review and top quality pictures.
I really don't think that the "poncing" to importers is an issue as far as TMX is concerned as we all know it happens, but they could try to be a little more revealing just little by little and in 3 or 4 years time we would be able to say, good test that. However it is so subjective as I thought one of the bikes at the BVM test day was not that good and r2w thought it great so you have to be careful. He was wrong of course.

Yes veerrry smooth so was the 05.
-
Yes tommorrow apparently for all the experts and clubmen in the northern half of the country, good job perces extension has plenty of room for lodgers?
-
Not 100% sure but think the 03 is sprayed and transfer. 05 plastics will fit.
-
Yep forgot to mention that looks and is narrower, lock may be better but felt the gasser still has more.
-
Almost identicle I would say. The stock 290 felt the same geometry, motor a little bit better, but not as sweet off the bottom. Best improvement was the forks, not at all sure about the black frame and wheels, or vent in the mudgaurd.
-
There is a shortage of the 290's at the moment so he was using his Scott bike for the demo, note excell front rim. The only 290's were the bike he had used at the Peak, and I guess all the others have gone to dealers for customers, makes sense?
-
Pooh and absolutely surely no spares anywhere?
-
Easy to fit, Jarvis rides a fair bit with a dellorto on, last week at the peak for example.
-
Try it without the high comp head first.
-
I will look but I am sure its a good one.
Beta is just not for me followed closely by a scorpa (no) then the 4rt(don't think so) which only leaves my favourite the Sherco .
OOOh did someone say gasser?
-
i ve got a lever you can have i think
-
Think thats an airbox cover?
You could always try the nut things with spikes and some gripfill?
-
My guess is the stands cost quite a few thousands, if it was worth it they would do it, it isn't they don't, fact of life.
-
Youth and sidecar ( theres only 30 in the whole country ) have one too.
-
What's the price of a new one?
-
What is the frame black finish? Powder coat? satin paint what?
-
-
Nigel Birkett? Scorpa importer advertises in TMX?
-
Just in time for the BVM test day then!
-
Ty hub, sherco (old) rim, not together yet, still....
