  1. Quite the opposite as I feel sure Sherco, Beta and Gas Gas would have done a good deal more to their 2 stroke if it had not been for the fourstroke RULE.
  2. Nope no one knows, as Andy said Caroline will let him know details as soon as she does from Montesa in Spain, the delay there could well be a delay in engine supply until the motor is fully sorted.
  3. I bet its more than that.
  4. Don't forget the speedo, driven from the front wheel and an old Gas Gas light replacing the small slimline Sherco one of 5 years, which was nice.
  5. I think its a bit of first loser though in Dougies mind? Some good will come of it though as will fuji want to try to retain his crown on a 4t, if Doug is on a 2 stroke? Would love to see the contracts!
  6. Oh all right, the bloke was too good for the class and was streets ahead of anyone else but if he likes the easily won silverware then best of luck, but it ain't what trials is about in my book, I think he finished plum in the middle of the S2's in 2003.
  7. Perhaps not as everyone I know is going to Hawkstone.
  8. Tough Day one, and 4 was wet and slippy due to weather, apart from that much the same. A certain very handy southern good expert who rode the S2 in 2003 won the S3 very easily by a mile, some would say pot hunter but not me.
  9. He just spent 4 days along with a couple of hundred of us riding the $ Jour de la Creuse. He rode the Expert super S1 course which is nearly WTC, won on a 280 gasser I think. Not sure if the results are on the web or not.
  10. Apparently there are two sides emerging on the manufacturers fourstroke developmental bikes, Montesa on one the for others are "talking" apparently. The others are aiming for a further delay in the WTC 4t rule change to 2008. Heard this from a good source at the French 4 day last week. Incidentally there was a four stroke TTR scorpa on the expert route and that was flying up really big stuff, apparently a 162 conversion with special cam and other bits. Saw the conversion iadvertised in the French YOU HAVE USED WORDS OR A PHRASE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. 11. If they did Hughsey would insist that Jarvises was not available to the general public, and the montesa was not too wide cos colmer designed it. Dougie has been the best rider for the last 7 years sadly not all on a beta.
  12. More to the point where does the fuel go?????
  13. Funnily enough in order of trickness Dougies bike is and always has been the most trick, and mostly special works bits. For instance Jarvis had a standard 290 in the states with a carb, head and shock the only non standard items.. Raga is on a raga with not much else, and cabys beta isn't alot off what you can buy except for the motor. Its you that needs to check facts wiseguy.
  14. Possibly if you think Doug has been on one for 7 years and his is the same as you can buy.........
  15. This is the bike built by Jon Bliss and Craig Mawlem using the old majesty bits bought from Shirty, and a chinese honda copied engine I think, there aren't too many of the 250's around, never seen this before. 16. I think you are confusing ACU approval with road legal. If a helmet is sold in the UK it must have BSI approval I'm sure, as for trials I've never had one checked and my Shoei, nice and comfy with washable liner, has no ACU sticker.
  17. Fat lady knows what the tune is...............Come on Dougie, have a few days off then double win next week, go on my son!
  18. Is it sh!t or bust for dougie this weekend, if he doesn't win is the fat lady practising her octaves? My prediction is he does the biz and stuns fuji who starts to wilt under pressure, I hope.
  19. Agood 20 lbs heavier than a Raga, I guess.
  20. 59? Any bigger and it will be banned for giving extra grip from draging on the floor!
  21. How can you say that when the guy won yesterday? I do think that he might be out of the running for the championship though. Figure it's down to Fugi and Lampkin now. Meant today not moment
  22. Doug has got his work cut out with Fuji being consistent, only 6 days to go, needs to get a couple of wins sharpish. Doug and Fuji are head and shoulders above Raga at the moment, half his score today.
  23. Well done James Dabill why was he not in Portugal seems even more of a mystery now to me.
