Yep sorry to be 100% accurate they of course were not factory produced. (but you could argue as vesty was the only top line rider?) Also the "40" is an underestimate as mine was done by reg in semi retirement and he was doing these as a private. Also I think i have an intermediate model to the one JR had. Julian wigg has in production as one of his projects a standard framed bike with seperate swinging arm spindle which allows moving the pivot further forward still. Will post a photo later. NOW! It is very easy to point the finger at the end of our favourite bike directly at the unions, but as with most things to take an incident in history is to forget history itself. Some might say that the start of the demise was the spanish war, compounded by the Dictator Franco and the way workers under the socialist government held restrictive practices. To have such a devisive dictator who was only deposed on death meant a lurch to the left, as much as anything to facilitate entry to the then EEC. We all regret Bultaco closing and if indeed the workers ended up on the breadline there is nothing really to be grateful for. (the accuracy and simplistic short nature of the above is obvious)

I think this is what happened. Ossa was on the verge of collapse 18 months or so ago, and "moved into" the gas gas factory for them to make the bikes. Theydidnt and then went bust. So ossa in effect havnt been around producing bikes for 18 months. Hes lying.
