  1. You're just being silly Ian, again. I never said it was bad just that if it was as good as you say then others would have agreed with you and bought more.
  2. EU law and trials bikes, remind us how that works in practice? When did a trials manufacturer keep to 100% on this and when was there ever a case?
  3. so it must be its just in wales then.
  4. The other way is to go to a dealer that stocks a few bikes and has a riding area on site, AG bikes springs to mind, a bit of a journey but their hospitality is second to none.
  5. The new dunlop despite what you say/or whats on carcass/or what happens in MX is very similar to a 4 x 18 in every dimension.
  6. This happpens alot john. Also his office of fair trading case refers to "retail prices" as much as anything. If vertigo is only available from Silsden its hardly "retail" is it? If part exchanges arent allowed then isnt the second hand price going to be seriously reduced?
  7. It does make a difference as where you are may help others say come and ride here with us and try our bikes. Its no good someone in Kansas offering that is it. Agressive my a***.
  8. If it was a superb design and worked well ( the inference is better than others) why didnt it sell more? Spares in the "system"? Who has commissioned parts to be made in the last year? Are you catalan or a friend of Joan Gurt? They need a bunch more $$$$?
  9. When Jake did a survey of spectators i think a wtc needs to be 80 miles from south yorkshire or something to get the best attendance. Wales isnt going to get enough paying customers i think is the problem with Morlais or anywhere there.
  10. I doubt they even had tooling.......
  11. There you are ian, put your fortune in ossa, "I liked the ossa so much I bought the company".
  12. unfourtunately its in wales so doesnt meet the central location, can factory trucks get in there? is it still available to trials?
  13. when you put it back together if its for a begginer then add a flywheel weight, it transforms the bike and makes it almost unstallable (sp?).
  14. the best bike for you will be the one you like best try to get a ride on as many as possible where are you? If you buy second hand be sure to get a bike well set up so that its 100% in controls and function.
  15. Where in that sentence or even faint inference is "no parking"? As Nick said it shouldnt be the first consideration. every wtc abroad ive ever been to parking was near or not so near, the priority was the sections, spectator access (quite often buses) and paddock.
  16. Total crap ask Jake or Martin where there are venues in the uk a few years back they spent weeks loking and never found anything. "Plenty of parking" is not the fundamental need of holding a WTC.
  17. It really is a shame we cant get a visionary local authority to take it on, as this is how it works everywhere else in Euorpe, even Northern Island at Bangor managed to overcome every obstacle. Really think there is an abundance of suitable seaside venues that would work well, even low north park would be streets ahead of tong? Isnt there a limit on man made sections anyway?
  18. I think hawkstone is too expensive, someone said outlay totals £100k when fim charges added?
  19. It is a shame that the infrastructure seems to take priority over sections. This is not a good wtc venue for trials is it?
  20. which model and cc are you buying and how much is it?
  21. think youre missing my point i dont pay vat there or here, there because its going to another country permanently, here cos no one to pay it too. quote "You can account for and pay the VAT due on your next VAT Return" so vat due is £x (but you dont pay this) and refund is £x (but you dont reclaim). So nothing to do with sales etc Yes? Ive done it a few times so know its right for vans, the whether its for buisness or not is without question but not sure vat even care about that.
  22. I have bought vans in from Belgium and I dont pay the vat there. I am vat registered, give details to the dealer passport etc. Once here you can register it and no vat is reclaimable because you didnt pay it. Not so sure how nova works for bikes as never done one, but a vehicle is a vehicle? if you sell on you charge vat and give this to our etonion bombers. So in theory vat free if you keep it, and are vat registered AND dont sell it. BUT regardless of whether this is how it works for bikes, they are way cheaper with vat.
