I would it may be it doesnt suit but imho to progress its better off. I never liked the run on when cresting a hill.
NB the weight is secured by phillips screws made of very soft material and loctited so be sure you get the exact right fit they can chew easily
-
Is there six months of night where you are? Nice work!
-
seems pretty arbitrary tbh why eddie before dibsta?
-
I think the point here and above is that on a sunday in rural britain therearent many plod, back then there was no PNC so it would be "easy" to double up or swap regisration plates from bike to bike.
Im sure everyone knows a rider who either has no tax or licence even today, and take a chance plod are busy eleswhere.......

we have to pay to provide a system, but no one wants it in outr firm.
-
The vat is not payable if you are vat registered, just need to account for it in the uk, so if you were registered you can take the vat off the price, but it has to be paid in either Belgium or uk or accounted for. Once thats done you can register.
At least i understand it that way.
Clearly Honda uk think we are all daft and will give them the extra grand, no ones bought one at these inflated prices have they?

...and therin lies the flaw to your opinion. You say you wouldnt buy a gas gas as youve given up in 06, so yet ten years later you think the OSSA is better?
You should try the factory racing replica in a trial back to back with your OSSA and I think youll be surprised. Ditto the latest beta thats an ossa beta too.
Oh nearly forgot the 2016 Sherco, now that the tanks where it should be (imho)my ride on a 250 was the most surprising new bike like for a while.
Youre riding an ossa which is essentially a 4 (?) year old machine, do you really mean it when you say its better than a 2016 4rt rr?
-
Thats exactly what i thought you meant but couldnt see how it worked in getting any extra numbers without!
-
Sam not employed by bultaco? What never paid by bultaco?
-
well i think the flywheel weight is much better off, especially for a novice on a 250.
This is because when you open the throttle it slows the reaction of the bike, reducing the capacity to learn the effect betwen input and reaction.
More importantly though is the run on with weight, it doesnt stop so much as carries on a little, which in turn makes you ride with less throttle. Does that make any sense?
Throttle control is everything and wuth this as a 250 its not a fire breathing thing that needs to be tamed. If thats how yoiu feel try out on a 125 the Beta is supposed to be very good.
-
Back to vertigo do we know what models will be available and when, and how much?
-
Since this site started there has always been people who say my bikes best, Ive ridden everything too and the OSSA is last on my list to buy, if it was available.
Not sure whos right or wrong I certainly wouldnt put my opinion above yours Ian as its a personal choice, and thats what gives us variety in Trials.
But I guess if you what you say is anywhere near the truth on how good it was/is there would be hundreds around.
There isn't. Sales dont lie.
-
Just one thing Sparks are you saying Dorset or whoever issued 669NHO and NHO 669 A would be issued in the same year?
-
All that effort, for what?
-
make sure the beta you try doesnt have a flywheel weight on
-
That was the other tip i had, change the plug every 3 months or so.
-
i must be old and grey but why bother with electric its not real motorcycling is it?
-
4rt's are (mine was anyway) the most reliable starters out there.
Rule 1 dont adjust anything if its running ok.
Rule 2 if it doesnt start after 3 kicks reset and it then fires up next kick.
You should not be kicking it anymore than this.
(unless you have left the tilt sensor on)
-
dont bother with the scorpa, try a gg beta and sherco im sure lads at earl shilton will let you ride. Otherwise take a trip to john lee motorcycles see what they have they will be able to help im sure.
-
Jota gas and ossa? Are you sure?
Absolutely agree too many trying to sell to too few.
-
I would take time and trouble to centre the bearing regardless of which option you chose.
-
-
I always found that a bonus back in the 80's especially in the mud we have here in the south. Also for really big climbs the 4th gave you that bit more speed so a positive for me.
-
gearbox on bulto is good of course, and the swm always seems like it needs tuning.
