  1. Not many Yorkshire folk in that picture
  2. Sorry to read about your father Craig, I hope all works out for the best.
  3. The points about observing could be about any and all world rounds, the fact is!! all suffer from the same problem, the riders know this and for the most part accept it. It has been suggested many times that world trials scoring is in need of professional observers, but what would it cost to send 15 people to Japan and the USA, even if they were not actually paid for doing the job, expenses alone would be too much to make it feasible. It is easy to miss a dab at that level, you just start watching a brilliant ride and miss a dab, the ride can only be scored on what the observer sees, not the public or anyone else spectateing, first rule of scoring "the rider must always be given the benefit of any doubt" . Time and section length, are a big factor, a long technical section does make time a major factor, the riders know this and it does make them ride closer to full no stop riding, due to the fact there isn't time to stop and pratt about, in reality this type of section will make for a more exciting event and doesn't need to have the super mega steps to take points, all the time you need and longer time limits per section have been tried and used in the championship, what is now! seems to be the closest in my opinion. The riders do know the game and also do have say in what changes if any are needed for the coming season, they also know any chance to persuade the observer or score, must be done before they have their card punched! unless a rule was interpreted wrong, they don't have much chance of getting any change to their score. In reality I think it's about as close as they will get it, without some mega influx of sponsorship money for the FIM to run the show professionally from riding fees to observer fees, only chance of that happening would be the Olympics, then motor sport companies could throw $$$ at it, due to the publicity and coverage the first ever motor sport allowed in the games would attract. The question is! did you get a good show for the fee you paid at the gate ? Enjoy the show for what it is, it is still one of the best shows in town
  4. Now I know you either haven't ridden one enough to make a statement like that, or you don't have a clue what your talking about, which is it Dabster ?
  5. Wow!! he did, realistically a second in the championship at the end of the year would be a good result after what could only be described as an unlucky season. I would think there is a good chance of an 8th world championship win in 06.
  6. Very close scores after the first lap, only 27 points separating the top ten riders , come on Doug!! click her up a gear.
  7. Next time you dress her after sex Andy, you may want to go easy on the thong leg straps, gangrene may set in if your not careful and there is no way to tell until she starts smelling.
  8. Vintage Hooters, Andy goes for the experienced bar staff
  9. Some companies make no profit on printers or game machines, but make a killing on the ink cartridge or a game. I'll let BS post the witty remark
  10. They may not import them to have in stock, but give them a call and see when they are next ordering a shipment of bikes, it's no problem to add a 200 to the shipment.
  11. Now that's a post I would of expected from Big John.
  12. Up to the minute results and news is worldwide within a few hours on the internet. Printed publications have no way to compete in the results and first picture of the event department, also a lot of bike news and info is out on internet before the weekly or monthly mag is available. I have the June issue that Kinell, brought over with him, plenty of good reports and pictures in it from the Pre-65, the SSDT and world rounds with stories on Dabill, and a bit of vintage stuff. Now if you open a YOU HAVE USED WORDS OR A PHRASE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THE FILTERS IN PLACE ON THIS WEBSITE and expect to be reading news that is new to you, I think you will have to toss the PC out the window and detach yourself from the cell phone and all other gadgets in order to do so.
  13. Think about it!! Trials Central is not much over a year old and due to it's success Andy, is now able to give a little bit of sponsorship here and there and promote the sport of trials. If "Trials World" had some positive thinking from the trials enthusiast then it too may one day be able to sponsor and event, series, rider, who knows, but talk about biting the hand that feeds you positive and creative criticism is probably welcome by the producer of the magazine, but all negative crap like quoted will only serve to put punters off buying and the demise of yet another promotional tool this sport needs will be the next step. There are very few jobs related to the trials industry, no matter what angle or part of the sport it promotes, if one or two trials enthusiasts can make a bob or two at it, the whole sport will benfit in the end. Give the man a chance!! it's no skin off your nose.
  14. that is red Howard, needed my welding glasses on to look at that bugger
  15. Downunder, have you been taking sneak pictures of Honda RS's service department his new parts bin looks full.
  16. what oil pressure does the highly stressed bottom end of the two stroke have
  17. What is a clubman? If a center rider was a rider who could score points in a center event. A British championship rider would be a rider who could score championship points at that level. A world round level rider would score WR points. Then wouldn't a clubman be a rider who normally rides and scores points in their local club events, but doesn't often venture beyond that level. If you have a clubman's championship, would it not be smart to define what a clubman is.
  18. I'm not worried about if it has an oil pump or not, Honda RS, will know all there is to know about the bugger anyway
  19. Sounds like a good day out then BS, Perce and Kinell seem low key, did they blob, or just a pair of pansy's who need a week to get ower it.
  20. Pointless wasting your breath on em Howard, just rode mine at this weekends trial, managed to win the expert class, rode it all day practicing on Sat, and the event on Sunday, started well every time. On the fast six mile trail up to the sections I never even had to change down, the thing would just pull from nothing, on up hill tight trail corners in 4th gear without slipping the clutch, fan cycled on and off correctly all weekend and never once as the bike spit any coolant out. My information is fact from riding the bike over the past five weeks, it just get's better after every ride.
  21. Don't some of them old stone bridges have weight limits, Perce, Kinell, and BS all on the same bridge at the same time
  22. I have owned and ridden the Sherco 3.2 for the past month, ridden three trials changed the oil three times, checked the valve adjustment, ridden it just about every day since getting it and not had any problems. Now the Scorpa 125 that you say with high build quality had new clutch lever, knurled plates, exhaust modding, jetting, then the bike would ride half decent, and it still wasn't a fraction of the trials bike the Sherco is. Now you two get on here and tell us it's a wonder they sell, and were released 6 months too soon, when the truth is you know SFA about the bike, never ridden one properly and don't own one. What bikes do you own and ride regulary in trials, or is riding ******* trials also something you don't actualy do.
