  1. It;s easy to get out of that job, just burn a bloody big hole in her best dress, and you don't have to do it again
  2. Well if your in for a good bollacking may has well make it worth it
  3. In fact I think it's a con, they lead us on when we want a new bike or go to a trial, use it as a tool to spend more money on silly things like a dish washer or new oven when they know it's makes more sense to wash by hand and cook ower fire. And all they really want is to get us out of the house so they can wax their legs or dye their hair, but they manipulate us in to thinking they are giving up a lot to let us go ride and in all truth it's what they want.
  4. And clean up that bloody mess you and the kids have left her
  5. Perce and I stood talking to Physco at the 04 ssdt sign on, try again.
  6. One must keep in mind though the connectors will have a little clip on them to lock them properly in place, these connectors were not meant to come apart by twisting both ends in opposite directions, belting with an hammer, or prying with a three foot screw driver, all one has to do is look how the clip operates and pull gently apart keeping both ends facing each other. You have to understand corroded terminals and bad connections change the resistance value of the wire which could lead to false readings and or bike running rough, keep em clean and greased with a good dielectric compound. I think looked after cleaned and well lubed, good engine oil recommended, the bike will be fine, those who neglect and can't be bothered looking after the bike will pay in the long run, or some poor bugger who buys it used will suffer. Same with two stroke machines I'm suprised how many don't clean and oil the air filter and wonder why the have top end noise.
  7. Well it's the truth Woody! do you have kids, If you do have kids, come Sunday who is riding trials and who is looking after the kids ? When they are old enough to ride then it's a different ball game, you don't mind taking them with you then do you. How many chaps on here can say on a Sunday they look after the kids while the wife goes off and rides the trial, and if it was the case the ladies would probably feel enough guilt afterwards to get home in good time instead of sinking a gallon of ale down pub afore they go home.
  8. Where did all this come from I have met Nicole a few times and was just giving a little stick on the pay your own way. I agree with Gizza some ladies are up to the task and some arn't, same goes for the blokes. Unless they get chance to prove it to themselves and to others how will we ever know? I think once a bloke gets married and starts a family if the finacial side of it allows he can go ride the event, not so easy for a woman to do this, she is the one left home minding the kids.
  9. I don't think it will change anything Gizza, those who can will and do, the rest of us go and enjoy the event. The clubman on the new mont will be in the same boat as all the other club riders. I don't think the electronics will be much of a problem, they have been in cars for yonks and you don't carry a lap top in the motor every time you set off. Then it will be said we don't throw cars at rock's and submerge them in mud and water like a trials bike, the off roaders do!! and it's usually axle's getting ripped off that stops em not the electric's, a good five month for those lads who own them to sus if anything needs extra sealing against water and mud and they should be dialed come May. You know as well as me Gizza, there are places in the ssdt that a lap top isn't going to do you any bloody good, in fact it would be a brave man who would get the old mobile PC out in the middle of a rain storm with clart up't neck.
  10. I used the WD 40 for a few years now BS, never say owt though, people look at you as if your daft if you tell em that's what you use for a chain lube, I let them get on wi blathering the chain in grinding paste Also good for getting stickers off and cleaning the bike.
  11. I have a seeley but never ridden one Nige, what are they like ? or should I say what do you think of em .
  12. Instead of rushing to the forums to post tripe! some of you first need to read what the factory press releases have to say on the subjects. All the official information can be read on TC and answers most of the questions people post. This topic is are two strokes dead, this is the Sherco answer on the subject. [Taken from Trials Central, sherco press release] . The 2T bikes will still be available, due to market demand, while regulations still allow this situation. Moreover, the 2T 2005 Trial model lineup has been completely and thoroughly renovated and have passed the Euro2 official approval, the current 2T models are approved until the year 2008. Also on the Mont 4 rt, in the press release about that bike it said testing was now complete and we should be in production late October. A couple of weeks past the start of production date and all I am reading is where is it!! well in the real world I would think it will be put together by production workers in Spain many of which will have never seen a trial or give two ***** what a trials bike is, all they have to do is put part A onto part B and collect the pay check at the end of the week, one wrongly turned part and it's down tools and seiesta time. I would think just getting the right order of putting what part when and the best way to do it would take a couple of weeks, yes the dealers may of got a little optimistic on delivery dates but in reality getting the bikes built quality checked and ready to ship all over the world would take a lot longer than importers and dealers would like, but thats life. Over the next three years I think there will be a lot more choices of 2 stroke on the market than 4, so if you prefer 2 go buy one!! don't try and covince me what I should buy because a post without knowing the real person behind that post means nothing to me.
  13. Remember the movie jingle all the way, christmas eve and two daft buggers are scrapping over the last action figure doll. I can just picture Caroline watching you lot fighting ower the bike on christmas eve With without
  14. Nicole flower!! such a pretty lass has you, needs to understand along with equality you have to pay your own bloody way
  15. Talking with Age Lewis yesterday and he mentioned how he was having a run of RTL rear fenders made in white or the original HRC red. If you are in need of one drop him an email at Lewisport usa and get your order in.
  16. It's funny this should come up but I rode our last club trial on the little Scorpa with a seat I acquired from Marky G, no problem in the sections and I sat my a*** down in-between sections, it's was surprising how many comments I got from other riders about how I was going just as fast as they on the trail. I tested the fit on the Sherco and it's close with a bit of tweaking but would be better if one was made to fit, I noticed the stamp under the seat said WES! is this the same wes who make the exhausts and if so why doesn't some bugger get after them to make seats for all models with a SSDT version with less padding but a zipper tool pouch in it.
  17. No gendar classes in the SSDT thi pays thi money and takes your chance. Now one or two young ladies, and a lot more young men read (SSDT the trials holiday in the highlands) After riding the event once or twice and also taking a vacation to Disney world, I just can;t figure out the holiday bit
  18. The ladies do very well riding the full event, and think by cutting their course short is like saying they are not up to it. I don't mind getting beat by women riders all the more power to them! and I also believe in equality for women, if equality means the have to ride the same course.
  19. Is that with or without the gyrating banana on it
  20. I think you hit the nail on the head there MSJ, the price needs to be more competitive. Good points about the bike! change the oil and ride! it is trouble free and in my opinion perfect for someone starting out in trials or club rider who wants to do little maintenance other than lube and clean. The rear fender some think it looks ugly! well it does actually work as a fender and keeps the mud off you! probably the only modern bike that does. If I was to change anything it would be the angle of the skid plate, but this would involve lifting the motor, it angles down towards the front and on the big logs we ride in this part of the world doesn't slide over them like other models instead it hangs up a bit on them, often causing a dab. Rear sprocket protector on my bike got broken off where it mounts! bit flimsy, looks like they have beefed it up a bit on the newer model. If you look at bikes now doing the vintage classes in the US, more TL 125s are competing than any other bike, I think this was all to do with pricing, durability and amount sold. Is it better to sell more for less or sell less for more ? people out to buy a new trials bike will take this into consideration when the more popular brands are priced similar.
  21. I was planning on taking the RV for a few days to Duluth Andy, maybe we could get Stu C, and mebe another one or two TC woftam types and observe a section on one of the days. As for meeting Ringo, you don't have any spare press passes do you
  22. Ringo, Lane, something about that California I was just reading the Dave Barry column about traffic problems in the US, he states that gridlock is so bad in California that as many as 15% of women now pass the time by picking their noses, The figure for men remains steady at 100 %. He also states that in the greater Los Angeles, the only documented instance in the past two decades of anybody actually getting anywhere by car is OJ Simpson. I think it must be something to do with all the convertable motors you lot drive around, the fumes are doing you in man!! I know this fellow in the movie business who rides trials! the tripe he comes up with is so on a parr with yours, I think you must be dating him, so what is the infection thats doing the rounds in your part of the world
  23. If I remember correctly Carly, in the super bike six event many moons ago your dad was absolutely S*** hot on the road race discipline, only getting beat by an actual road racer.
