Maybe the Sherco forks & TY hub help a bit! (on barrys bike)
-
Just wondering what you guy's on the 250's are running regarding gearing? Ok 9 front is generaly accepted as the norm but i still can not settle on the best rear size. I have 9/10 & 37,39,41,43 to play with. At the moment i am using 9-39.
-
Will the Beta rev 3 leaver fit the TLR 250? spoke to Barry Roads at Welsh Trophy Trial & he had one on from a Beta but wasent sure which model.
Also his and Clint Leggetts bike had trick exhausts with Clints using the standard box below the air filter housing and modifiying it with baffells in and then exiting out just in front of the top shock mount with twin outlets, Barrys was similar but had a custom made box. Both looked very neat.

You can get a complete TLR200/250 workshop manual from Colin Appleyard for about
-
Would you advise against lengthening the clutch arm? as this would be considerably cheaper than a hydraulic clutch? or not??
I have ridden a couple of 200's with reed valves fitted ( keith Horsham) these are nice, have you tried one? gives a very smooth engine on pick up.
-
i think you are dead right, most of the guys i see doing well on 200/240's have moved their footrests. And it all comes down to personal prefrence at te end of the day. If it does not feel right then i can put it all back to original.
Another picture of bracket

I wanted to alter the position of the pegs without resorting to cuting and welding. My 200 is totally original and i wanted to be able to revert to that in the future.
-
Its not stainless but a very high grade of aircraft quality steel, the friend who made them does a lot of machining for the aero space industry. I think he is in the process of redesigning the Scorpa water pump to make it less vunerable.
-
Just had these back from a pal of mine who machined them out for me, yet to try the bike out, any thoughts? My first reaction was how much more 'in' the bike you feel rather than perched on top of it.
-
How much would you pay for a 01 scorpa? looking at getting one thats been owned by a steady clubman rider, very well maintained bike and is only selling it due to getting an 04 bike. Need to convince the other half that a fourth bike is still not too many!
-
No it makes no difference hot or cold
-
Anyone have this problem? 6 out of 10 prods on the kick start & it slips round on the shaft. Can the problem be rectified with access via clutch case removal or do you have to go any deeper! If i am real careful each time i kick her up and 'feel' where the shaft is trying to engage then it is ok but when it slips it feels like it is going to snap off! (The bike does not have the de-compressor fitted)
-
Anyone 'not' notice the Majesty 200 going for
-
Just give Stuart a ring at SMC (01728648213) very helpfull & knows Fantic 200's inside out
-
Hi sorry can't buy the bike, already have one, but what front/rear mudgaurds have you used on it?
-
-
Apart from the various cc hikes to the 156 engine has anyone ever seen a 200 with a bigger engine in?
-
Drop Steve an E-Mail at Rhencullen M/c sales@rhencullen.co.uk or ring him on 01455 890678 i think ORO are a trade only outlet so you can order them through him. The part is; Stainless Steel forged wide foot pegs Pt No 60.200. ORO also list Clutch plates/Springs for TLR200/250
Fibre;04-5102.5 Steel;04-7103.4 HD Spring; 04-014. I think these may be EBC products?
-
An IRC would be the first choice for grip then Michlen, the MT43 works well in mud ,soft ground & snow because of its fairly stiff oddly shaped blocks they clear well. If you are intending to ride rocks then give the MT43's a miss the side walls/blocks are too hard and the rear will bounce all over the place! P.S. www.rhencullen.co.uk have got some MT43's for about
-
Will get a phone number or web address soon.
-
I have the same problem, again using EBC clutch/springs, the clutch slips in 4th & 5th under load with 10/40 semi synthetic oil. Have orderd some original ones & will be running on 30 monograde oil then. Also have EBC brake shoes in & will try originals next time. EBC's dont seem to last very long.
One point, i use a GSXR 750 for track days & Suzuki say 'do not use fully synthetic oil as it will induse clutch slip'! maybe they know what they are on about?
-
I find IRC tyres hard to get hold of?can anyone suggest shops that stock them. Had to swap to michelin at last change, IRC gripped better and lasted longer, & any help for my standard is needed!
-
Thanks, got it sorted now.
-
