November 26, 200619 yr Does anyone out there know for a small bottle or a can to carry petrol, say about 1-2 litres.I have been looking for months for one but yet to see anything of any good.
November 26, 200619 yr Get yourself to any decent outdoor/walking shop and have a look at a Multifuel flask. Sigg and MSR are the 2 that I've used without any problems. Not cheap but quality bits of kit that don't leak and are pretty tough. I haven't used one in the Scottish though, because it's not allowed
November 26, 200619 yr I've never used one in the Scottish either, and I never ran out of fuel about 5 times and had to get the army to top it up at a lunch stop.
November 26, 200619 yr I am really suprised that the Scottish was even mentioned as i am sure nobody has ever ever ever carried fuel in a seperate container
November 26, 200619 yr Hey On the site barry posted if I am correct the fuel bottle is just a metal thermos flask with some stickers on it? I am sure somewhere like millets would do one that holds more fluid and costs a lot less. I have seen people with coffee in them at trials and they are all dented and scratched from being knocked about so they must be made tuff stuff! hope this helps sean
November 26, 200619 yr What about the little tank you can put on where the number board is, acts as a reserve tank and number board. Cant think of the name Doubt they are used in the Scottish though.

November 26, 200619 yr Mine's a Sigg, but it's specifically a fuel bottle. Not sure if they are a different spec to the drinks bottles. Mine was a tenner from an army surplus store in Darlington. Would think army surplus is a good place to start. Or maybe ebay: Ebay Edited November 26, 200619 yr by bikespace
November 27, 200619 yr I think the seals are differant on the fuel ones, the water ones will perrish.
November 27, 200619 yr mine is a coleman from a fishing shop, its for a lead free petrol lamp i think it was about a tenner and holds a litre, and actually has leadfree petrol written on it so its legal to carry fuel in
