I'm with atom on this, and I work on both ends of the buisness aswell.

Then ya'll should know that as soon as you attach a trade name to anything the costs double. You want a business phone line? Sure, 2x home line. You want to lease a shop and buy some equipment? Bend on over. You want to prototype some parts? Goodbye

I'm with Dabster on this. I struggle to see where the money has gone....

I'm thinking what I could do with a 100k Budget! I wouldn't have built an engine for sure. I started an engine project last year but soon realised that is financial suicide. The only possible thing here is whether they used an outside design company to design the frame. Those costs are high especially if it

Getting outside specialist help from the likes of Ricardo's, Lotus (Who are as much a specialist consultancy as a car co) and many others costs mega money. I recall the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) Package we used with ProE cost a 10th of that Greeves costs to rent for a year!

I know what you mean reference software. I have 2 seats of Autodesk Inventor Professional. Each seat (software install) cost 6.5k and

Considering the bike isn't even for sale yet, of course it's unfinished. Why not save the comments for a production model?

They don't expect to sell that many, so the price will be higher than another make with greater production. Considering how much a "pre-65" bike costs, I don't think price will be a concern.

It will be here rest assured.

I always thought pre-production and concept was supposed to look better than production to WOW and entice the buyers.

At that price they wont be selling many at all.

I if you have a poll the bike would be a doomed based on all the comments so far.

I still sand by what I have said from the start of this Topic First impressions and WOW factor!

Perhaps a little harsh. But I have to admit the 'first public showing' of the new model could have made a better impression.

Graphics and body panels can easily be changed, but why so bland for the first showing?

Probably rushed for the show.

What really baffles me is how narrow minded everybody is. It was rushed to get it to a show just to create a reaction. I seem to remember that when the Sherco came out ( actually called a Bultaco at the time ) it really looked a bit plain and was a copy of a Gas Gas. Why cant people actually give it a chance, its British, surely thats a good thing cos were the most critical people on the planet so when it does reach production it will be good!

Yes it is a shame people are slagging the Greeves down. There's obviously someone close to the top in Greeves that has an interest in Trials otherwise it would'nt have even got to the drawingboard,If i was Greeves reading this i would think screw them ungratefull bunch of tosser's and go to a safe bet of producing a m'xer, enduro or road racer.

To many chiefs not enough indians in this world today, everyone can do better.

First impression's,we're talking like a bunch of tart's here now..What we realy need to know is this bike going to win Trials with the help of the frame design,if it does start to win then it will become the most beautiful Trial bike,we won't know this until afew coming rolling out the factory.

Gotta go now, getting my Boob's filled again this afternoon.
