With Russia not a big player in the world Trials GP scene what country/team would take the honors of the most using performance enhancing drugs

If testing was undertaken looking for performance enhancement drugs how would the world trials GP scene change?

Things that make you go mmmmm

Just had a look at the document....went straight to banned substances to see what I should be taking !

On a serious note do you know how often tests are done? (I didn't read the whole document so it may be in there).

I liked the FIM strapline "Ride Clean"

Don't know if things have changed in the last couple of years, but when I was going it was done at random post-competition. I recall podiums and press conferences being delayed because riders were off peeing in cups.

If I've read it correctly it states a minimum of two riders from each class per single event

A mate of mine is big into his fitness & bodybuilding. He concocted an "energy" drink for me to use when I ride, one which he uses to train with. He eventually persuaded me to give it a go at my next practice session. All I can say is my god! Half an hour after drinking half of it I was buzzing! I suddenly became all excited on the bike and was riding with a lot of vigor to say the least! Though I was also doing a lot of crashing as a consequence, needless to say I didn't finish the drink and have not had it since.

I can see why athletes would be tempted to take enhancement drugs, but I would not condone it.

I imagine beta blockers (pun not intended) would be one of the most beneficial drugs for trials, because they really improve your fine motor skills (pun not intended). Golfers used them extensively before they were banned to remain calm, and i think golf and trials share a few similarities regarding mindset.

Ive always wondered about mechanical doping, especially regards to weight limits, does anyone know if the bikes are only weighed at scrutineering?

I suppose a cup of tea with one sugar from the catering van is still OK?

I know there used to be a lot of "performance enhancement" going on in the 70's world championships but it was not so easy to conceal seeing as the substances were generally packaged in pint containers☺

With the ever increasing age of riders deep heat, raljex, santogen are more likley to be of use . - I hear radox are looking at sponsoring a p65 championship

Have heard there is a milk based drink that helps calm the body - think its marketed as Ovaltine :D:D

I try to keep my carb loading a constant level the day before. (18 beers or less.) Then start the morning with water, 2 cups of coffee and move up to at least 64 oz of pedialite and more water. More water and another 32 0z of pedialite during the event. The after event doping depends on injuries and pain.

I heard a woman found all her husbands Viagra tablets.  She got a bit fed up with him taking them and then chasing her around.

She took all his pills and flushed them down the toilet, now the toilet lid won't stay down.....   :o
