  2. I have a TRS but have never been more than about 20mph on it. Have you thought about a Beta Alp? You can do long distance trials and green lanes and so on. I keep looking for one but they are hard to find and the new ones are "rally" type to cash in on the adventure bike fad. I have a CRF250L but it would be useless for trials. Great fun though.
  3. Hi all, for context/back story I have a 300 Sherco trials bike and 300 Sherco 4-stroke enduro bike- and struggle to find time to use either! My trials riding is Novice level and living on the London/Essex border, my 'enduro' riding is the odd enduro practice day or Hare & Hounds practice day. Generally tighter stuff, and again I'm Novice level. I can't justify having both bikes, so am considering a trials bike with long-ride kit. A Honda 4-Ride is the logical option but I'm a little wary, so that leaves TRS, Beta, or Sherco. My Sherco has a biiiiiiig jump between 3rd and 4th, which isn't ideal. How do the TRS and Beta compare?
  4. 4t impeller is different than the 2t

  6. You might look into "Nils Clutch Trial" oil its specs are very close to the ELF oil and is worth considering in my opinion. Specs for comparison: ELF 40°C 21.4 100°C 7.0 NILS 40°C 24.7 100°C 7.5

    BSA B44 Piston

Joe Maxwell Engineering might be a good place to start. CCM's were originally based on the BSA B50, successor to the B44. http://joemaxwell-engineering.com/
  10. Correction. I see that I said "left side Crankcase cover" I meant right side.
  11. I just went to , https://www.suzukipartshouse.com/oemparts/a/suz/50d392fdf8700229982f2f3f/crankcase-cover, It appears to show two different left side crankcase cover, both listed under TM250. It also states, "Diagrams Shown are for U.S. models". So that explains it a little bit. So there were definitely two different styles made. Same year? Mid year change? I don't know. Thanks. LaVern
  12. Shakenstirred, Clearly it has the right side lever. I wonder why Partzilla and Babbitt's don't show that, or maybe I just don't see it in the parts diagrams. Thanks for the photo. LaVern
  13. Fair play, that shows why i'm the one asking badly worded questions haha
  14. If your garage is like mine it’s got sawzall, grinders, etc for anyone with access to use. Lock your garage, put up cameras and take out insurance on the bike. Everything else is up to fate.
  15. Might anyone know of a lower compression piston compatible with the B44?
  16. I just spent quite a bit of time looking thru the OEM parts, of Partzilla and Babbitt's and find no parts fiche that shows a TM250 with a right side clutch lever as you show. I can see in your picture it's a Suzuki side cover. I wonder if like Yamahas the Suzukis were manufactured with differences depending on where they were shipped to. I'm in the USA, where are you located? Thanks for this conversation. I am finding it quite interesting and educational. LaVern
  17. It doesnt have a gearbox mate its an Epure Race 21 so its just the clutch The drain plug is this one I just want to know if i can get a generic one the same rather than having to get a specific one ordered in.
  18. @DanRev4t The 2007/2008 Rev 4t uses the same water pump components as the 2009 on BETA EVO 4T , as far as I know the APICO BETA aluminium upgrade parts are listed as a fit on a 4T BETA motor water pump ? Check with BETA in ITALY to see if the parts are the same. If you don't want to chance it.
  19. You mentioned an Allen head drain plug, maybe if you post a photo of that plug and it's location perhaps the mystery can be solved. Depending on the year and model of your bike you may not have a gearbox.
  20. Yeah it is a confusing one as it stopped working after i'd changed the clutch oil which really shouldnt have affected anything. An update is that it now works. I took it off the lift stand and lay it on its side, pumped the lever a few times and gave the area near the bleed nipple some taps and when i stood the bike back up it worked perfectly. Now the weird bit, as soon as i put it back on the stand it wouldnt work, take it off the stand works fine??? So it could've actually been working all the time as i'd kept it on the stand since it stopped working while i had it in bits. I'm going to take it out in the morning and give it a proper test and at least its got new mineral oil 🤣
  21. I think you guys are referring to hydraulic fluid that operates the clutch but the question is about the gearbox/clutch oil that the clutch operates in. I have no idea how that could interfere with clutch engagement. Maybe we'll get the rest of the story.
  22. Not a mod i have seen. definitely not a Suzuki or Beamish mod
  23. Wow that's interesting. Do you know how they handle the existing clutch rods going to the stator side of the engine? I also thought I saw a Suzuki, or Beamish or Suzuki/Beamish with a clutch arm coming out of the top of the stator side case. With that it seems easier to do than switching completely to the other side of the engine. Boy, at 73 I'm still learning, and at 73, that's a project that will be left just to think about😄. Thanks for the information. LaVern
