I have a 348 that when I start the engine runs really badly and bogs on rev. The eventually dies. The fuel is at 33:1 the scew has been at 1.5 turns and in lots of other places. Carb has been cleaned. New Spark Plug used. Any ideas, more the better so I can keep trying things. Thanks

Probably going to buy the NJB trials Expert for my Cota 123, price is not to far out of my leauge, was wondering if anyone has some feedback on these? are they rebuildable? is the performance good? are they durable? a friend had the clubman shocks on his Cota 200 several years back and said they worked good. Hi there hope someone can help I've just bought a tank seat unit for my 1973 Cota 247 that has the original fibreglass tank and not the separate aluminium tank. I got it to replace a leaking Ali tank and cover. Unfortunately, the 12mm petrol tap from the ali tank does not fit the fibreglass tank. The tap boss on the fibreglass tank appears to have a 16mm metric thread on it. Unfortunately, the tank came without a petrol tap and none of the usual firms can supply a 16mm petrol tap. Any ideas on what to do please?

My Armstrong CMT310 with the Hiro 323cc engine starts pinging about 30 minutes into a ride. I am running premium fuel with an octane booster and an NGK BP6ES plug. The ignition is a Kokusan CDI, can the timing be adjusted with this ignition? All I can find in the hand book is to center the screws in the slots on the stator backing plate. Anyone have any ideas to try? I have a spare CDI unit and have swapped out the original but stil have the same problem. Rick

Hello I have just bought a 349 mark 3 in bits.I have managed to rebuild most of the engine but im not sure how to line up the gear selector mechanism to the selector drum.What position does the drum start from and how do all the marks line up.Managed to get a parts book but there are no descriptions on how to set up the engine or ignition timing.If anyone knows where to get a proper workshop manual or could give me some advice on the above it would be much appreciated cos im dying to get on the thing. cheers.

I'm just about to start restoring my recently purchased Montesa 330 and one of first jobs I was looking to do was get the wheels rebuilt with stainless spokes and whilst split get the hubs powdercoated. Obviously this has been before and I would appreciate those of you who have had wheels done to share your experience's with me and any recommendations would be welcome. Thanks

Is it possible that the grip on modern trials bikes is wildly superior to my 247? I'm WAY out of practice, and was never too good to begin with....but this 247 has a brand new pair of Dunlops and I was slipping ALL OVER...in every situation...going across gentle hillsides the front tire was washing out...everything. Was my Sherco really THAT much better?

Just a quickie. I cant remember the size and pitch of the bolt that secures the damper assy on a MAR. Anybody know as i've found a pair of forks in bits i had forgotten i had, having a sort out in the shed, and want to put them back together and use in one of the "projects". Cant find the thread pitch guage

Hi Guys, I have a 1972 Montesa Cota 247. The DPO put a shorty silencer on the back of the bike and it sounds like a shotgun going off. So I'm getting dirty looks from the moms due to the noise footprint of the bike. Is there an after market silencer I can put on the back that will quiet down this bike (lots). Or do I order the stockish looking silencer from Sammy Miller in Merry Old England. I need to be a good neighbor in my own hood. My apologies for posting this in the wrong section. Can anybody recommend some links or DVDs or whatever where I can see some good twinshock trials? Riding this 247 is a totally different animal...I can hardly even figure out how to ride it after getting off a Sherco. I need some inspiration!

Hello I am trying to find a source for bushings for my three Dalesmans. One 71 Mx Lynx and two Enduros.I have tried numerous places and have run out of ideas.Can provide piccs and dimensions. I am sure these were probably common to other bikes as well. Any ideas?
