Looking for some advice please. I've striped my daughters txt125 07 engine to replace all the bearings, I've come to close casing up but as soon as I get them approximately 5mm or less from closed together the gearbox locks up, I've been through the gearbox diagrams multiple times and everything look right and turns freely prior to that last few mm. The only thing that looks odd to me is the way the clutch shaft butt's up against the casing needle bearing without a washer, up there wasn't one in there and there's non in the diagrams, any advice would be appreciated.

In my "spam" folder this morning ticket discounts - looks like the GP is in UK again next year after the fantastic event at Kettering this year. The 26 event will be in Anglesey at the venue that was cancelled the last time round. I hope they get it right this time.

Hi all, Beta Evo 2009 250 2T owner, but too many pies mean I am about 100kg. The shock is almost bottomed out with my weight on it, maybe at 16 years old the spring is tired, as well as being too light for me. I think I can get a 'heavy duty' spring new for around £90, but these are stated as being for 80kg riders. Can anyone recommend what I need, and where from? Ideally... has anyone got a second hand heavy spring I could buy? I am in Scotland by the way - but happy to pay shipping.

Hi Had a look at my clutch tonight as it is terribly rattly which I know these bikes are known for it. I found these 2 chips on the idler gear would they have any effect on the noise? I guess the bart gear looks a bit tasty too, although it kicks up on 2nd kick from cold and 1st kick when warm. The clutch basket and plates all look sound. I was worried the clutch basket would be worn out but it looks good. The only other thing I have noticed is the bush/bearing on the shaft going to the gearbox has some play in it. I've tried to attach a video but it won't upload for some reason. It all seems to work ok but I get quite a bit of vibration through the bars too. Any …

Hi, just looking for some inspiration. Took my back wheel off to replace the wheel bearings and noticed the swing arm linkage bearings are absolutely shot and some play in the main bushes too. I've sorted the dog bones out no problem, however the 2 roller bearings in the main arm that the long linkage bolt goes through will just not budge nor will the bushings in the end of the arms. Can someone tell me if there is a step inside the casting or can both bearings and bushes be pushed out from the same side? I've tried a little heat with a warm air gun but no success at the moment. Obviously I don't want to damage anything but just looking for a bit of info Thanks

I need a new tyre pressure gauge. I've just broken my Apico 0-15 psi one by putting it on a new tyre that had been left at very high pressure. As I don't have a separate gauge for my cars, I am thinking of getting a digital gauge that would do both. I'm proposing digital because it will still be readable at normal trials pressures, but does it actually read accurately down at 2.5 psi? Any opinions? Any recommendations?

I've noticed that some of our colonial cousins quote the type of route they ride as if it is a standard format. If only we could have something like that in the UK! Every club seems to have a different idea of hard, easy, clubman, sportsman, novice, beginner, gentleman, etc. Most clubs use red/blue for the "main route" but that could be the hardest or the middle route and the use of white and yellow is all over the place. I've also seen red and blue as separate routes. Finally, some clubs mark out deviations from the main route while others mark out all routes in their entirety. Wouldn't it be nice if all clubs worked to a standardised system, at least up to Centre C…

Does anyone know anything about the Tottenham Trophy Trial? I'm researching the racing career of J.E.C. Purnell (John), and he was awarded the Novice Award cup for the 1947 Tottenham Trophy Trial.

Hi all, Its been a while ( 16 years in fact)😲 Well I have started riding trials again as I've recently bought a Mecatecno Dragonfly (what a machine !), so I want to start riding trials again but I wondered what is the best way to find out what is on? Ive looked at the ACU.sport80 site and I have looked on here, but when I talk to some other trials people, they mention trials in clubs that I dont see posted on these sites. I live in the Telford area and looking for a 50 mile radius. Any tips where I can get info ( I'm currently a member of South Shropshire and Llangollen Trials clubs) Thanks in advance
