For all those who are anxiously awaiting results of Round 6, Geoff Aaron once again snatched the win, followed by Ryon Bell, and then Chris Florin, all within 6 points of each other. If I remember correctly, David Chavez finished 4th, Cody Webb 5th and the LeRiche brothers 6th and 7th. From what we heard, there was some pretty nasty weather that included a lot of heavy lightning and even hail, so it was a pretty wild second loop. Congratulations to all the trials riders who rode this event and best of luck in Round 7.

WOW, a couple of surprises here Weighing In... Dan Brown and Barry Florin conducted an impromptu new-bike "weigh in" at the Trials Training Center during the National Competition. Using out-of-the-box machines from TTC's own stock (with exception of the 4-stroke 140cc Scorpa and the Gas Gas Raga Special, which were provided by the respective importers), each bike was weighed, using accurate digital scales. Before weigh in, each bike was emptied of fuel, but contained tranny fluid and coolant in ready-to-ride form. Weights (LBS.) From Heaviest To Lightest Montesa - 167 (without lights) Beta - 164 (with lights) Scorpa 4-stroke - 163 (without lights) Scorpa 2-…

In a press release just issued today, the CMA has decided NOT to send a men's team to Spain for this year's TDN. This decision was made after it was made public that Wilson Craig had not been picked for the team for the second year in a row! This was such a shocking thing! Not only is he one of the top two rider's in Canada, he is also one of the best in North America. How could someone who has won a US National NOT be picked! The amazing thing that has happened, is the support from his fellow rider's. After the selection, Ryon Bell made it clear that as a result of the selection, he would not compete this year! As well, Will Duggan, the current Canadian Champ, also thro…

Did your whole family get up from the dinner table in the middle of the meal, and run into the living room to watch, like mine did? Bob, do you feel like a movie star this morning?

  8. I just got back from Donner, due to wife's vacation starting this weekend we could only do the first two days. My boy Trevor and his friend Daniel competed I minding for Daniel, and Trev found some older woman who is top ladies rider over here to mind for him, after a good win on the first day he said he wanted me to stay minding for Daniel, he preferred the US ladies champ minder, I said don't worry, so do I. I never got chance to see my lad ride as I was off looking after his mate on another course, but he did surprise me how steady his rides were and how he has improved over the last few months. Some older youths were riding a rock near the pits warming up, next thi…

Not to advertise another site on this great one, but a group of us are trying to form a National Trials Council (similar to the Natc) that would work with the CMA. You can find all the discussion about this topic on the message board of www.trialscanada.com Your participation and opinion is very important! Please get involved! Cheers, Steve Fracy

Anyone in the US/Can know of any trials sidecars available? I have been riding my Fantic 200 Sidecar in the FIM/NAMU events the last few years and have got a lot of people asking where they can get chairs to put on bikes they have lying around! I know of one in Rhode Island, but would like to find others so I can point these potential riders at sources so they don't have to build one from scratch Bob Manifold

With all the talk about how lacking the world round was with regards to observing I began to wonder how Cabastany, Dougie,Fuji, Jarvis, Raga and the rest of the "Professionals" felt. We know for fact that they read this board but they never respond. Granted, as professionals they wouldn't want to risk loosing their AMA membership for speaking their mind so I think we understand why they don't comment. We all sit back and judge the scoring [myself included] but maybe they really don't care. Maybe they actually like comming to America where they know that they have the opportunity to get away with making one of our checkers change their score. I'm thinking that if it …
