Yamaha GP points leader Jorge Lorenzo appears to be in line for another Championship Title. Current Champion, Casey Stoner has not seemed to recover fully from that broken ankle accident, and perhaps he'd like to exit his active carreer entact to enjoy the rest of his life, no blame there. Honda's Dani Pedrosa, seems to be on a winning streak and is not likely to catch up to winning the top spot, being he is 28 points behind Jorge Lorenzo. My take on the last three races is: Lorenzo will be happy to accept 20 points for each of the last three races,(2nd place), rather than submit himself to risking danger for the 25 points given to first place. Can you see anything differ…

Why would Dovi switch to Ducati? He's got 5 podiums under his belt with Tech 3 Yamaha, so far this season! He should have been chosen by Honda to pair up with Dani, given his performance so far this year. Moreover, Tech 3 should have offered him something, Then why would he take a 2 year deal with a manufacturer he is very likely to struggle with for a top 5. Why? Is it the money, or the prestige? Or something else.

With Valentino going back to Yamaha, and greeted with much respect from Jorge, What will the 2013 World Championship GP look like. Dani Pedrosa will be Top Dog on the Honda team with Stefan Bradl closely in tow. But, could either of these two Non championship GP riders hold off two previous World Champions? I say NOT! My money is on Yamaha for 2013.

There has been much speculation this week over who will be the replacement for Ben Spies on the factory Yamaha team. I have my own thoughts of why he is leaving the team to begin with, however, should Dovi be given the chance he has been working towards with no less than 4 podiums this year? or, Is Yamaha trying to lure Valentino back as 9 time world champion to make a competetive bid along side Jorge Lorenzo for the World Championship?

I can't be the only one who thinks Hondas offer to build ( and sell ) "production" versions of the RCV is a great idea.Apparently HRC say they could build as many as were needed whether it was 10,20 or 30!.Teams could buy them for about a million including spares backup and would have a bike faster than any of the CRT teams without having to spend on development.Some people are worried that Honda would have too much influence on Dorna given that they supply the Moto2 engines and about 75% of the Moto3 ones.I would suggest that it might spur Yamaha to do the same and perhaps it would help Suzuki if they knew they could generate income which they could put back into develop…

It comes with great regret today, to learn that Casey Stoner will retire at the end of this, 2012 season. One can fully understand the reasons for this decision, after 20 years at the circuit, however, his talent and expertise will be sorely missed. Only best wishes extended to him and his family, with hopes of seeing him still engaged with MotoGP in some way.

This should be, I think, the most Spectacular year in MotoGP in recent history. Correct me if I am wrong. First, we head back to 1000cc engines, something that has been missing in the horsepower department. Then, We have changed riders in different team positions. Also, will Ducati make a come back to a front Row when Casey and Nicky dominated the field? Finally, will Honda with, Casey, Dani, and not Dovi, be the survivors of the 2012 MotoGP World Championship?. Give me your best estimation.

The last race of this seasons MogoGP I think you'll agree was spectacular. Just when we thought Casey would run away with a 10 second lead on Dani, Dovi, and Ben, it started to rain, hard. That race for second looked like, and for 3rd in world championship, it would never end. With at least a half dozen exchanges between Dani and Dovi, while Ben was just waiting to pounce on any mistake, it really looked like it was all set in stone. Until the last five laps, in the pouring rain, would anyone believe that Ben would pass both Dovi and Dani to shrink that 10 second lead that Casey had? only to pass him? Ben would have really deserved that win, but for that little fifteen th…

Casey Stoner once again showed us his prowess today in Aragon. After starting on pole, he only managed a third place after the start of the race. Did you notice how short a time it took him to pass Dani, then Ben? How spectacular was that, to finish the race 6 seconds in front of his team mate for the win. We could have a new world champion here, again.

Could this all be true for the young Australian? Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, and put distance between himself, Jorge, Dani, Dovi, Marco and others. I may be getting my hopes up half way through the season, but if he pulls ahead of the pack like he did in the Czech repulic, this could be the final nail in the coffin for the others. Is Casey the Superman he appears to be?What say You?

Is Casey Stoner on his way to win the 2011 MotoGP Title now like I think he is? I know we are only about 5 races through the season, but Casey has come back from that unfortunate mistake by his former team mate with as much confidence and style as anyone could imagine. Let's face it......Honda rules this year. (I've never owned one}, but, the Yamaha's ridden by Jorge, and Ben, just have not displayed the Ponies (HP),that the Honda's have. With a line up like Casey, Dani, Dovi, and yes even.....Marco, comment refrained, there does not look like any other Manufacturer has a chance. Forget about Ducati. Does any one have a different take on this matter?

The end of season race was a cracker for those that missed it. Lorenzo showed he was really the champion this year. Taking the lead of Stoner was pure ability, but do feel Stoner was held back by the limitations of his setup (too harder rear tyre spinning up?). Rossi was just had to hang on to 3rd, nothing more he could do, different set up to Lorenzo? Great challenge by Simoncelli, and place by Spies. Cat wait to next year with all the new seat changes. I see red next year, I think Rossi will still be at the pointy end, but not without some renewed competition. What do you think?

Well what race today. I am glad to report racing is back as Mr. Rossi and Mr. Lorenzo proved today. No love lost between that pair anyway. Spies had a good comeback after his off. All in all a good early morning race Iain
