I've fitted new red gonelli mudgaurds on my kt, but i needed to match the colour so i can paint the tank and side panels, so i went to autospray paint factors near me and we matched it up!!! If any one else needs the colour its - St Germain red (duller variant) manufacturer - Suzuki car.

Hello, I am preparing a 242 Montesa Cota for Classic trials. I have worked a lot in it because I love drive but I love more tune and prepare it. The bike has many special parts made in duraluminium and diverse modifications to make the drive more light, more easy to drive and less tiring because I'm ggetting a bit older. I have ever thinked that the old points ignitions can't work really well in all the rpm range. I read and advertisement on the net about The Norton Villiers "LITTLE DEMOM" electronic ignition. Hi all, new to the forum and have my first query, hope somebody can help. Is it possible to fit TY250 yokes in a bantam frame and, how is it done ? I have been looking for forks for my trials bantam for some time now, without much luck, and will not go to the expense of REH although they do look very well engineered. Anyway i have acquired some TY yokes and hope to start from there, any thoughts ?

Results of the Manx 2 Day Classic have been posted on the Manx Trials Club Web site. As You'll see, in a reversal of last year's results, Dave Thorpe beat John Maxfield on most cleans - both having lost 25 marks. Joint third only one point behind were Chris Gascoigne and Dave Wood with Chris taking third again on most cleans. Click this for the results. How does Dave do it? Amazing for his age.

Hi all. I'm currently rebuilding a 1955 DOT TDH I'm hoping to use for some pre 65 trials. It has the Earls type front forks. Not sure what to go with for shock absorbers. I got hold of some TLR 200 rears, and they are about the right length at 390mm, but one of them is dead, so they are not much use other than for keeping the front end together. Anyone got something laying around that might fit, or any suggestions? I don't want to spend too much on shocks initially, as it may take some experimenting to see exactly what is right for the bike.

As team manager for the Victorious BMCA2 team I would like to congratulate our team members. Not only did our team win the event but our riders Alan Nicklin and Robert Bowyer finished first and second overall. These two were backed up by Chris Denney and Keith Gardner with our fifth (non scoring) member Mick Parkes who rode with a painful back injury and made the finish with a respectable score. This is the first time that a team from the AMCA has won this event. To say we are well chuffed is an understatement.

I have been riding my Greeves Scottish TAS for a year now with the Villiers S22 carb and have changed over to a Mikuni VM28 as the Villiers was p____g fuel everywhere and it's never been that great due perhaps to wear or lack of use - I've only got to leave the bike a couple of weeks and something playes up like the clutch dragging or the carb running weak. Can someone please advise on the needle jet size for the Mikuni as this new carb is causing severe detonation in the midrange - this is nothing to do with the ignition setting as the bike is excellent through trials sections and off the bottom end, it's just that I ride a lot on the road and need to get this sorted bef…

There are still a few spaces left for the Pre 65/twinshock over 40's charity trial at Tinto Motocross Park in July.The trial is part of a weekend of offroad motorcycling with a classic enduro on the Saturday morning,classic trial in the afternoon and Sunday has classic Scrambles. I've just watched a copy of this 1950's/60's DVD from Duke Video and it's fantastic. The commentary is by Alan Jeffries and there are many famous faces passing through the sections. It would appear that feet up didn't used to be the idea though as getting through to the end seems more the aim. There is little finess on show and they must have been either boiling or freezing in their WW2 great coats and tweeds. Especially interesting if you live in the area. For the last ten years the Banbridge & District Motorcycle Club have run one of the few classic trials in Northern Ireland; this year they stepped up a gear and organised a two day event. The venues for Saturday and Sunday were only about 10 minutes apart, with camping available beside Turley's Bar and the Flax restaurant. Mervyn set out a great course with hard and easy routes, catering for both Pre 65s and twin shocks. The easy route was negotiable by novices but still included enough to challenge the concentration and skills of the more experienced riders.
