Hi every one I know this has been covered a few times but I haven’t been able to find a step by step guide on how to actually remove the additional weight that’s pressed onto the gear on an evo ?I’m going to remove the flywheel weight aswell (Covid boredom+intrigue) I believe that a puller is needed for the gear side aswell to remove it ? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated

Hello All, I have a new to me 2019 EVO 250. I need to remove the front headlight to fit a number plate. The problem is, when I disconnect the wiring to the light and ignition mode switch (also on the headlight mask) the cooling fan stops working. My question is; what is the fix for this? Thanks for any assistance. PS - I am no electrician so please be specific or post a photo - Thanks.

does anybody know of any shorter brake pedal that will fit the evo 2020? It seems that the jitsie race has a slightly larger tip and is angled to the rear a bit. if anyone has that I would like to see a pic. I need the rear brake a little bit closer. this is an issue I had with the montesa and ended up having a custom one made now I have a beta factory and is a bit too far forward again. definitely not as bad as montesa. I also could use a larger tip. Thanks

Owning a 2012 Evo 4T I find it more difficult getting add on bits for it compared to the 2T versions. I’m after some carbon look engine cover guards (Clutch etc) and perhaps a rear silencer cover. Does anyone know if these are available in the uk for the 4T. Mont 4RT add on bits everywhere but Beta 4T a different story. Thanks in advance Alan.

Hi all New to the forum, so unsure if I'm in the correct category? Looking for a Beta Rev 3 side stand bracket or the full assembly (2002) model. Rare as hens teeth but thought I'd try to source one on here, many thanks Mark

In the process of experimenting with the shifter I messed up by not properly loctite-ing the cam screw which backed out and scratched up the back of the basket. Still worked fine but looked hack. Since the basket is getting grooved it’s time to atone for the sin of not using loctite and replace the basket hardware. I’ve also noticed significant wear on the throwout bearing. And something else which is a bit weird. The throwout bearing has become magnetic and is picking swarf out of the tranny oil. Maybe that’s why the bearing is a bit rough? Much smoother after a flush.?

He'llo everyone, first time posting in here as I'm new to trialling. I've got myself a 2006 Rev 3 250, I really enjoy riding it but I've noticed a couple of things. First off the carb would dribble all the time from the atmosphere tubes so I did the BILLY T mod with the plate tang, replaced the vent pipes with long ones going over the carb. Whilst I had the carb stripped and cleaned in the bath, I checked the needle to find the rubber hard with a dip in the cone so fitted a genuine needle and body. The carb also had the standard 30 pilot and 150 main, I've read the I should try the 27.5 pilot and 145 main so I've fitted a 27.5 but I'm waiting on th…

Hello all my friends just purchased a 2013 300 evo and the rear brake doesn't seem to be working properly. The foot brake just seems to go all the way down to the sump plate with very little effect. Has anyone had the same problem and a fix? Many thanks

I'm aware some of you are experts in the history of the Beta and know about the various annual upgrades and I'd like to tap into that knowledge for some advice I remember reading some years back the Beta offered a 300 in both standard and SS versions. I think the SS had flywheel weights and a longer throttle and was easier to ride for more 'novice' riders. I've been out of the game for a while and don't seem to see anything about the SS - was is dropped? Did it work? Also - As an old guy returning to the sport, will a modern 300 be too much. I was going to opt for a 250, my last bike being a new 290 Sherco back in 2001. The 290 was fairly brutal …

Well went out today after fitting a switch to the fan so I can switch it on and off due to the stat not working , so did some riding in the woods and it was getting hot so on goes the switch and nothing so I was guessing fan or voltage rectified has gone caput . Got home got the trusty multi meter out and checked my feed from the coils and at idle 6 volts and revved up 12 so low voltage coil is working fine , then to my annoyance flipped the switch for the fan and it was working and checking my coil feed to the regulator it was working fine got it hot and it was ok . So ither it was a blip or poor connection and the drive home moved some wires about . But I'm unsure weat…

I'm looking for a flywheel weight for a 2001 Beta Rev3 270. These are 80 mm hole to hole as opposed to later Rev3s that are 70 mm. Did these also require a spacer for the side cover? I was looking at making one myself but there is not much space under the side cover. I'm in the US.

I wondered if anyone knows when to change the plates on Beta Evo 2018; in another words what is the minimum thickness of them. The plates are around 3mm each, I run out of the adjustment on the handlebar and the slightest pull on the lever sends clutch slipping. Is it a time? Would adding a few shims to the basket postpone the replacement? Thank you ahead for your wisdom.

Hi all this is abit of a strange one , went out today did hill climbs ect and went one the road to clear off the mud on the tyres when getting up to speed the clutch slips as I can here as the rpm picks up past mid to top it starts slipping , now my question is why did I not pick up on it when going up hills under load where I would of expected to feel it slip . Or is this an adjustment issue as i put new levers on it , apico ones off ebay , the levers are loos so they aren't adjusted with put slack between the engagement screw and the piston .
