Hi there. I’m pretty new to trials so this might be a silly question. After transporting the bike, at startup the bike revs uncontrollably for about 15 seconds and then sorts itself out. I make sure the fuel tap is OFF before transporting. What could be causing this? Thanks

Hi there, can anyone tell me what these numbers mean? I know they’re jet sizes but how do you interpret them? Also, has anyone got a Rev 3 from 2008, if so, how have you set up your carb? Thanks 125 Min 50 - Max 115 250-270 Min 48 - Max 110

Hello, i own a 250 Factory Beta and i'm looking to buy a more recent (second hand) one. My current bike is a 2012, and i came across a 2018 that i might be interested for. Problem is, it's a 300 Factory, and i do not need more power. I only got into trials a year ago, have been riding motorcycles for the past 20 years dough, in trials dough, i'm a beginner. I'm not a heavy person, and the 250 has all the power i need. Now here's the question, is it possible to make a 300 factory handle more, enginewise, like my current 250? What's the difference between a 300 factory, vs a 300 ss, enginewise? Could i tame a 300 factory down with mods like a lower compression head, …

When draining my oil I found a thin washer/ shim attached to the magnetic part of the drain plug. There have been no unpleasant sounds or performance issues. The oil looked normal and without metal shavings. The inside of the oil filter looks OK. The washer was folded with some linear rub/ wear marks but not horribly chewed up. At the last oil change I did have the oil pump removed. The parts diagram shows a thrust washer in that location so it is suspect that it did not go back together correctly. However, it is the wrong size for that location. The parts list shows that one as 8.2 x 15 x .05. but the one I found is 12 x 17 x 0.35. Does anyone know what this ma…

Hi folks, I've just bought a Beta Evo 2020 250 and want to upgrade the rear shock. I've been searching high and low for a Showa but have no idea where to buy one However, I've come across a 'Tech' rear shock on the Bosi team page. So, what do you think, how do these compare to a Showa? https://www.bosioffroad.it/en/products/tech-rear-shock-for-beta-standard-model-2-ways-regulation All suggestions/advice welcome. Kind Regards

Hey Guys, New to this trials thing and have been diligently working to assemble a Rev 3 270 - when installing the shock, I am assuming the rebound screw (at least I am assuming it is a rebound screw) faces the back of the bike? Thanks for the help!

Hi all, My bike is a 1994 Beta Techno 250, my first ever motorbike! I tried to start it a few months ago and it was making a crunch noise when i kicked it hard enough, the engine was turning over but refused to start and skidded when I tried to bump it. Upon further investigation i found a large crack near the kickstart in the case, so i bought new cases and swapped everything over all going well. Until a nut on the cylinder barrel started to spin, not tightening nor loosening, the bike has a fair bit of compression and could start (I think, but I'm far from a mechanic), after feeling for compression and to make sure everything felt right before kicking i…

Hi all, I recently swapped everything from a ‘94 motor and put it in a ‘97 I believe. Everything went well but now the engine is back in the frame the spark plug won’t spark. The plug was working fine before hand. So I don’t think it needs a new plug, followed all the wires and use a diagram and it all looks in place. Thanks, James

The hot start button can help starting but mine can snap shut during the kick. Sometimes I hold it open with one hand while kicking. I pulled the valve out, cleaned and inspected but see nothing wrong. Is there a trick too keep it from closing on its own?

Hi All, I'm looking to upgrade the suspension on a Beta Evo 2020 250cc but wondered if it's worth it. I asked the guys at Splat show and got an extremely comprehensive response, the level of detail they go to with their responses is truly amazing. However, the detail was mainly around the rear shock. Regarding the front suspension they 'alluded to' the Tech Fork being the same functionally as the standard Beta Evo forks, just lighter. What does everyone think? Are tech fork just lighter or is there a real benefit (for a Clubman rider) I'm over looking? Also, are Showa forks any good? Cheers

Just got my first trials bike. Have been mostly street riding and adventure riding the past several years and done a bit of road racing and track riding, but won’t have time for racing for the next few years so I decided to trade my race bike in on a trials bike! Have lots of past dirt experience and I own an adventure motorcycle touring company in BC Canada (Canadian motorcycle adventure tours, CMATours.ca), but I’ve wanted a trials bike for years for honing my skills, so I’m really excited about it! Just need the snow to melt now. Traded the road racing bike in for an ‘09 Beta evo 290. I’ve always loved two strokes so we will see if that translates to trials b…
