Hi. I'm trying to find the stock squish on the above bike. I have a book for the 2010 Evo book but that gives a measurement for the top of the piston to the cylinder. This doesn't seem right for my bike as it would give my 4.5mm squish. Thanks for any help.

Hi, I'm new to the sport, like really really new. Long time motocrosser, good solid 40+ expert rider (almost 60 actually) but a complete and utter spode on this thing. And by this thing I mean a 2019 300 EVO I picked up on a whim this summer. I'm a bit heavy at the moment (225) and installed stiffer springs and adjusted my handlebars a bit further forward. I plan to dump the break in gas (40:1) and use the recommended ratio. Right now it both pings and burbles and blows lots of smoke. Basically I'm wondering what things I should look for, things that break or need modification. Good hop ups, jetting specs, etc. Basic stuff. Any input would help Thanks

Does anyone have any useful information regarding the manufacture of Beta TR34 pistons for 240 and 260cc. I have read earlier posts on the topic but the trail has gone cold. Any information or advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi, I am unsure as to what oil to put in my beta techno 250, I’ve done some reading and it seems to suggest 80W? But I’ve just dropped the oil and it looks a lot like ATF? Any help would be much appreciated! :D

Hello, I have a Beta Rev 80 which is surging/cutting out at high throttle/WOT. It is stalling for amoment, then picks up before stalls again.. I have cleaned carburettor and nozzles, i have checked float level, tried changing needle positions, changed gasoline and ensured fuel supply is ok. Changed spark plug. Checked air filter. I have no idea what can be the problem. I have not checked ignition timing, i dont even know how the ignition works. Any tips wold be appreciated, i still suspect the carburettor float or similar. Regards Oddemann

Guys in the club who ride Evos say there are two types of Evo riders. Riders who have broken their rear fenders and riders who will. Although the plastic is pretty stout, it's not as "rubbery" as the rear fender on my Scorpa or Montesa, both which would be broken if it weren't for the mounting screws I replaced with ZIp ties. Isn't so easy to mount the fender with Zip ties on the Beta. Just curious, how many of you have broken your rear fender?

Never been this stumped before and out of ideas now! Hoping someone's come across this and can help. Problem started about three months ago. Bike died while out practicing. walked a section, came back and it wouldn't start. Suspected the stator so fired it off to Steve Hardaker of Motoplat UK for a test and/or rewind. Got it back rewound but still no spark. Removed kill switch, checked HT coil ground, and wiring. all seemed fine so assumed the CDI was my problem and bought a new one. still nothing. bought new coil, plug cap and plugs. No difference. Started doubting the stator fix so contacted Steve again. he kindly said he would test the whole system on his test rig if I…

I've recently bought a low hour 2017 Evo 300. Pretty happy with the purchase. Currently the weather is mild and I don't see any particular issue, but moving into summer I'm wondering if it's worth fitting the Costa Special Parts hi flow water pump for 40 UK quid? I've read a couple of posts where people have commented that they think the bike tends to run a bit hot and the CSP pump keeps it cooler. Not sure if it's actually an issue or not. Where I ride it's fairly hilly with climbs of 1000' on fairly steep terrain being not uncommon. I mostly play around on obstacles, but do go for singletrack rides sometimes and travel about on forestry roads and steep fi…

Hi all, looking for some help please. Bike running and starting fine yesterday and became gradually more difficult to start. It would almost catch then bubble and fart or backfire. Sometimes would start on full throttle. Spark looked a little weak but I was outside. Stripped the carb today, changed the plug started ok ish but better after being tipped on its side. Any ideas appreciated.
