I've got a 2017 Evo 300 that I've put around 80 hours on so far. So still "new" as far as I'm concerned. I'm definitely not a serious competitor, far from it. But I do enjoy having a bike that feels nice and crisp as this one presently does. Generally I've been fairly impressed with what I've seen of the Beta build - except the rubbish front mudguard design and perhaps marginal choice of rear guard plastic/design. They seem to have a reasonably sensible "it it's not broken, don't fix it" attitude. Atypical for most Italian manufacturers! Oil gets changed every 10 hours or so, forks get new oil regularly (on their third change), linkages serviced twice so far, im…

Recently made the move to electric from a beta 50cc. Haven't found a ton of first hand experience with the mini electrics; thought I'd post this, maybe help someone else out. I've got an 8 year old. Weighs ... 60lbs?/30kg -- soaking wet. 4'4" ish, which is 135cm according to google. Loved his 50cc but was outgrowing it. Skill-wise. The centrifugal clutch really stunk when things got muddy or steep or generally needed to avoid spinning out the rear. That, and it was very heavy for him. All was great until it started to tip a bit. Really wanted something with a clutch, but no luck in his size. We drove out to see an 80cc Beta Junior but it was too big, not to…

Hi guys, have a very very minor oil leak on beta evo sight glass, would like to replace it as they are very cheap anyway. Am I right in saying the glass will come out with a spanner or socket (I know that’s the shape of the glass). Any tips not to damage new glass?

Hello, few questions... Firstly, does anyone know where to get a front mudguard extension/flap from. So, to help stop mud flinging up into the frame and rad. I saw one on a bike Sunday but didn't get chance to ask where it came from. Scoured usual places online but can't find owt. Secondly, do people silicone seal around the exhaust can end caps to stop it weeping black gunk or is it best to let it ooze out and clean it up? Lastly, does anyone know what weight oil comes as standard in the forks? I want to make them a bit more bouncy to help him pop the front up, he's always run his bikes like that but if it's already 5 weight in there I'll have to shop ar…

I was going to trade my 2012 Evo 300 for something else as the main bearings were a touch rough, I was accepting a lower value because of them. The virus lockdown meant I had a project - sort it out! I have now replaced the mains. It’s running much more quiet and smooth. It’s no longer as angry either as I put a 1mm base gasket in. It took six hours and £200 in parts and gaskets. The old bearings spin and spin now out the motor. They are dry and worn badly. I’m no factory technician so I now need to see what happens next but it’s had an hours use and is silky smooth and I’m happy. I still fancy an Evo factory 125 or Vertigo 200 though....

Two years down the road, I need to buy a few spares for my 2014 Factory 125. The back brake as stopped working and I think it might be as cheap to replace the cyclinder instead of trying to source a seal kit. Clutch cable needs replacing as it sheered off as it enters the clutch clutch cylinder. Back mudguard broke off today and just beyond the end of the exhaust. Are there any reliable suppliers out there for after market spares or is it a case of having to go to the Beta UK for all of the above? Also, rear tyre will not hold air pressure. I can see where it is not sealing between the tyre and the rim. After reading a few posts, I tried WD40 and …

Hi everyone, I recently bought a 2015 250 beta evo and I have an ongoing problem with it running really hot, so much so that it is melting the plastic cover on the exhaust. The fan seems to run constantly as soon as it warms up. I have fitted jitsie high volume water pump kit and it has not made any difference. Has anyone experienced this issue and could possibly offer any solution or advice? thanks, Daz

Does anyone know of a better rear tyre for the 80 juniors as the standard tyre might as well be filled with concrete.
