Ok, been doing a little work on my new (to me) 2000 Rev3 270. Fork seals, new fender, custom spark arrestor, new fuel line, nothing major, certainly nothing major with the engine. It ran great, started 1st kick most of the time, as long as I gave it the beans. But now, after I got it all back together, it won't start. Like it won't even try. I pulled the plug, it's got spark, and the carb is getting fuel. I know 2 strokes are stupid simple (although I admit this is my first non weed-eater 2 stroke, lol), so what am I missing? I can't imagine I've completely clogged up the carb, just from replacing the fuel line (it has an inline filter, too). …

I have a Beta EVO 200 2016 and a Beta 250 2015. I’ve recently cleaned the 200 carb and yesterday decided to clean the 250 carb. When I removed the 250 carb I found a vent pipe on top of the engine. I think this pipe has fallen off the vent on the bottom of the carb, but I’m confused as to why the 250 has a vent pipe and the 200 doesn’t have this pipe. Both carbs are the same. Should the 200 have a pipe? I believe this pipe is used to direct the over flow fuel away from the engine, but does it have an effect on the bike performance?

Hello Beta-friends, this just happened to me: after a long selection process (read: slow deciding) i finally went to get this 2013 Beta Evo 300 so, did a test drive, was happy, put it on my trailer, got home, got it off the trailer and noticed that the gear shifter was gone... i guess it vibrated off somewhere along the route so my question: any resource (online?) where i can find a replacement ? Beta replacement ? or another brand which will fit ? (and maybe is an improvement?) thanks for all help Peter (Belgium)

Hello, i'm new to trials ideally want a 250, but 290's and 300's are a lot better value and cheaper second hand, can you reduce the power any way to make them easier for a beginner. I'm looking at a beta evo 290 2011. I have road bike experience, I know this is totally different to trials but i do know how to ride a bike. Thanks for help.

Good evening all, I have a 2019 Beta Evo and i am having a problem with an intermittent fan. After about 5 minutes of running. the fan kicks in for a while then cuts out again, then it doesn't come on again and eventually coolant starts spitting out of the overflow . On a couple of occasions, i have noticed when i sit there revving the bike, the fan blade moves slightly a few times like its trying to start and then a couple of times it has eventually kicked into life, like the vibration from the enginGe has jogged it into working, but then it will stop again shortly and then eventually spit out coolant again. The fan is working fine when i bridge the connector …

Hi, I picked up a couple bike for my spouse and I. A 2009 evo 290 and a 2007 rev3 270. The rev3 has a loud popping/snap from the exhaust at idle. The evo sounds great. and is not loud. I repacked the muffler, replaced all the o-rings and checked the complete exhaust for leaks. Is this just how the rev3 sounds? It's really loud and my spouse doesn't like riding it because of it. I also tried dialing in the carb. Didn't help. Any suggestions? Thanks, Dave

I would like to try the clutch mod shown on this video https://advrider.com/f/threads/how-to-correct-beta-clutch-drag.1375397/ in order to reduce clutch drag. I'm hoping for a little advice from someone who has already done it. What is the mechanic feeling for when he pokes the screwdriver down the middle and works the lever? Free play before the pressure plate moves? Is there anywhere convenient where I can get the shims? I've tried eBay but it seems the standard 16mm ID shim is 22mm OD but the above thread indicates 16x25. Has anyone done it with 16x22 shims?

Hello all, I have an issue with one of my bikes. I have 2 beta evo's. 1 is a 2015 250 and 2 is 2018 125. The tyre on the 125 is very close to the swing arm on the brake disc side. On the 250 I can get my fingers in the gap but on the 125 I can't. Everything is the same on each bike checked measurements and cant see any difference. Snail cams are set the same on each side on the 125. Checked measurement from centre of swing arm bolt to centre of axle bolt on 125 and it is even so don't know why the tyre is so close to the swing arm. Any thoughts? Look forward to hearing from you all

Hey folks, I just brought home a new (old) 2000 Beta Rev3 270. This is my first trials bike, but I've been riding trails for 15 or so years. I can already tell it's a handful! But I'm not scared (much, lol) I've been doing a fair amount of googling trying to find various sources for parts/accessories for this fine steed, but I'd like to get some advice from the well seasoned Beta gurus. One things is I'm trying to figure out parts compatibility. It's a 2000 model year, but what other model years have interchangeable parts? The 2001 seems pretty similar, just different color plastics? It needs a new rear fender, and the fork se…

Just done an oil change on the nephews 2015 Beta Evo 125 it's been 5 months since it was last done by myself (long over due) i put 500ml in then but when drained the old oil out there was only 100+ ml in there so where has it gone?? there has been no signs of it leaking anywhere. His bike does smoke a bit from the exhaust unlike the other betas we have of same age and i have cleaned out and repacked the exhaust which helped. Is there anyway there could be an internal leak and the oil is getting into the cylinder and burning off ????( I'm Doubtful but thought I'd ask the question ) Cheers

This is my first post to this excellent forum. I am just starting out in Trials at age 62 on a 1996 Beta Techno. I noticed yesterday that the forks on my Beta have a much more shallow angle than the newer trials bikes. The Techno looks more like a chopper. I suspect that makes the Techno a little more stable while riding between sections. Does this shallow angle make the front tire want to push and wash out when I try to make tight turns? Does it make much difference for a beginner like me? Any changes to technique required? Thanks, Steve

  18. Mine is 1992 Beta Zero 260, I just want to share tips and specs to aid in set up of the Jordi Tarres signature replica, Steve Colley special! Winner of the SSDT with Steve Colley. My Water pump is fine and I use nonaqueous Evans Motosport Coolant (in all my bikes) I bypassed the the thermostat head switch and wired in a manual fan switch onto the bars, which I basically leave on all the time (SoCal temps) My Trials skill level is minimal. I have CST Legion Trials tires on it (cheap stuff), my Offroad/Enduro level is 50+ Expert/A, I am usually a top 10% finisher in that class. My main machine is 2017 Husqvarna TX300. Has the Mikuni VM26 carbby jetted p…

What with this whole isolation thing I’ve dragged my Beta techno out of its resting place at my parents to give it a good going over, I’m normally on enduros but would be good to get it back running. fuel line had gone hard and broken and the water pump seal had gone too so pulled engine out, tidied up wiring, did seals and head O rings, cleaned carb, new fuel etc. Yet to fire up...but I’ve been refurbing brakes, got calipers off, pushed pistons out, they’re pretty clean but but new seals in and pushed them back in, new fluid etc. The front has good pressure but is absolutely terrible, minimal stopping power. Pads are good, disc is good, pressure is good bu…
