Can anyone please confirm this is the correct method and measurement for checking the float height on the Mikuni SE BSR33-79 carburetor. I believe you hold the carb horizontal so the floats hang, then tilt the carb just enough so the float tang just touches the float valve. The floats are then parallel to the carb base then measure between the face of the carb to the very top of the float body not the flat ledge but the highest point. Set between 12mm and 14mm. Any of this right or wrong?

Hi, i've just recently bought a second hand Beta minitrial 20, electric Beta, for my daughter, to play around in the garden, and see if she likes it or not. Bought the bike second hand, so it has a little work to it. Chain and sprockets are worn out. Now, i do not seem to find a sprocket set for a reasonable price for this bike, also, it has a very narrow chain. I've seen a conversion on youtube were they use an Oset chain kit for this bike, but it seems like there a lot less teeth to the sprocket doing that conversion, so the bike will run a lot quicker, and loose a lot off torque. I've seen bigger Oset sprocket aswell, but how do i know wich one to order? I would like t…

Hi gang, I have been riding a few green lanes on the new ALP to get the feel of it off-road in advance of the upcoming Guy Fawkes LDT. I am only 9 stone so I could do with softening the suspension if possible. There was no tech manual with the bike so I have no idea about the quantity and grade of fork oil. Any ideas??

I was wondering about experimenting with my Techno 250 by taking off the flywheel weight. I would imagine doing this to a Rev 3 250 would be similar. Has anyone out there in Trialsland had a go at this? Firstly: How do you get the weight off the flywheel? Secondly: What effect did it have? Thanks.

The Beta flywheel weight kit part number for a 2013 250 EVO 2T is AB-80015 according to Beta's USA website. It is offered in "Light" or "Heavy". Does anyone know the actual weights of these? Thank you.

Seems like these have been very popular, interested in any comparisons with less exotic evo's, especially 290's. Heard didn't come with the usual Uk market flywheel weight, wondered if can be retro fitted ?

Anyone already do a cross check for new (or more available used) rear caliper for the 2004REV 250? None available (USA ) but maybe there is another bike/brand also using the same AJS/Braktec rear? I know some scooters used them too but not sure models. Joe

Suddenly the engine stopped in the middle of a forest. It started again with kickstart but stopped almost immediately. After 10 minutes brake the angine started again and ran normally. I was happy I would not have to push the bike home two kilometers through the woods. I was wrong. The engine stopped always when it got hot and the fan started. The other symptom was fan running extremely slowly. Finally I found the reason, a loose lead of a capacitor:
