Pretty disappointed to see that Sherco has changed from Mountain Motorcycles for the Canadian distribution of their motorcycles. Not sure of all of the details as I can't see where Sherco has announced the change, but this is from the TrialsPlus website of Mountain Motorcycle: "Mountain Motorcycle Ltd is no longer importer of the Sherco brand of trials motorcycles for Western Canada. That function has recently been assigned by the factory to Bob Billyard at Sherco Canada in Ontario, whose territory encompasses the entire country. We thank our loyal Sherco customers for their support and friendship over the years. We are working with the Sherco factory and the new import…

Hi All, I have moved the June 1st event to June 16th to accommodate some of the riders (away for USGP Trial). I have a new job which is great news for my family but not so good for my Trials time. I would still like to try and do the event at the farm June 16th but to pull it off I will need help on the weekend before and on the 15th. My hope is to use the same area as the event last fall (on the slope to the river) but build at least 3 new sections that are easier (or at least possible). Cheers, Michael T.

The stage is pretty much set for this coming weekends big event at Scotch Creek, British Columbia. - A last minute change of venue, has meant a whole new course layout, in a totally different area, high above the beautiful Shuswap Lake. - but with the help of the local Trials riders, we are now looking forward to once again hosting a memorable National, followed by the Vintage Outaw Trial on the Holiday Monday. The new location, features lots of challenges for all classes, plus a very technical loop. - Round One starts at 9am Saturday, with Round Two 9am Sunday - Vintage goes at 10am Monday - For directions to the campsite/start - click on WWW.Trials Canada.com - or www…

So I have come to find out that owning a 2003 sy 250 scorpa in Canada has it's challenges...I know that (from what i have read) the sy is good all around reliable bike and I am thoroughly enjoying its rideability and ample power (for my novice riding skills) Here'e the question...If and when the time comes...where can I a) find parts, like for example clutch components... b)fenders, fasteners, fork seals etc... I have recently placed and received an order from "the tryals shop" and i must say I was impressed with their service and speedy shipping.. (dutie fees sucked though) I was able to get some "consumables" like, levers, grips, adjusters...etc. I guess i'm more or l…

Only two weeks to go now for the first round of the popular WTC sanctioned Outlaw Series for 2013. This year see's our event return to familiar ground at the property of the Victoria Motorcycle Club. The Outlaw series also counts towards the WTC provincial championsips. As usual, the format continues with Day 1 being for twinshock bikes only. There will be an A class that will ride Intermediate lines, and a B class that will ride the Junior lines. Its always a great time, and the weather looks to be great! ( My son and I out finishing taping all sections this weekend in 20C temps)We hope to have the best turnout of twinshock bikes we have ever had this year! Day 2 will…

Trials Training at Miller Meadow with 2011 Canadian Champion and 5 times Trials Des Nations rider Jonathan English! I realize that all the events I have done so far have been free but I can't cover the expense of this one on my own so there will be a $50 fee for the 2 day course. There is a $25 discount for anyone who helped out at the outdoor show. There is a 20 rider limit on this event so we can really focus on the training. Saturday will be formal training starting with the basics and helping people get their bikes setup (if needed) we will then move into turns, hopping, small obstacles, reading sections, riding sections, and then a bit of the extreme stuff - just …

Well call me crazy but I have organized another Trials demo at the NS Outdoor sport and RV show. Based on the success last year (despite me riding off the roof of a car onto my head) we have gone all out and Paul Yvan and his kids are going to join us from Quebec for the show. I even got a banner made up to make us look like we know what we are doing. Stephane has built one heck of an obstacle but given my performance last year I think I will leave it for the pros Just today I found a Ford Taurus Wagon which will be a bit tamer to drive over plus we have a large tire, a few wood triangles, a couple of logs, and a teeter totter - should be something for everyone. …

The first ever Ymir trials event is in the history books now and from all accounts it was a great time had by all. The weather was perfect for both days and the evenings cool for hanging out by the camp fire. The Saturday trail ride saw about a dozen riders in two groups and we all got to see some spectacular scenery. We had twenty two riders registered for the competition and six for the little wheels event. A huge thanks to Pete and Zoe Bustin for hosting the event and thanks again to all people that helped out with scoring, trophies, food, firewood, photography, taking down the sections, the trail guides and Main Jet Motorsports. Thanks so much to you all!! And …

The Squamish round of the CPTA series is in the books. Although attendance was light, I got the feeling that all who ventured up for the event had a great time. Dave Narona has posted numerous pictures from the event that can be viewed at the 99 Trials Facebook site as well as the TrialsPlus Facebook site. Video that he took will also be coming soon. Thanks to all that came by to visit one of our great riding areas in the 99 corridor! Spencer Fitschen

The 7 time USA Trials Champion was in Summerland BC last weekend, to put on what can only be described as a fantastic training school. - This was Ryan's first visit to Western Canada, and glad to say the weather co-operated with sunshine and warm temperatures. - The 14 students were treated to a variety of training techniques, but everything started with Ryan checking "Set-up" on all the bikes, which included a short ride to ensure all controls werer working as they should. Next up was basic turns, before graduating to more advanced stuff like slipping the clutch for traction etc, then it was onto the logs, with different suspension and throttle/clutch co-ordination. - T…
