  3. Started by lone trialer,

So I have come to find out that owning a 2003 sy 250 scorpa in Canada has it's challenges...I know that (from what i have read) the sy is good all around reliable bike and I am thoroughly enjoying its rideability and ample power (for my novice riding skills) Here'e the question...If and when the time comes...where can I a) find parts, like for example clutch components... b)fenders, fasteners, fork seals etc... I have recently placed and received an order from "the tryals shop" and i must say I was impressed with their service and speedy shipping.. (dutie fees sucked though) I was able to get some "consumables" like, levers, grips, adjusters...etc. I guess i'm more or l…

There is now a new Canadian Trials website online. www.mototrials.ca looks to be a fresh, modern site that will serve our community well and was the creation of Brian Hotovy and longtime trials legend from these parts, Ryon Bell. It is also on twitter which you can pickup when you go to the page! It will be great to get up to date info from clubs and be able to see video and pics there too. Steve

Hi folks, Thought I'd post-up and say hi to my fellow Canadians. I'm just getting re-aquainted with the sport - I used to have a TY80 when I was a kid in the UK almost 30 years ago. Haven't riden a trials bike since then - but just picked up a 1993 Beta Gara 260 to play around with. I'm going to teach my little dude how to ride his XR50 next year and thought a trials bike would be the ideal machine to putt-along side him. I'm also interested in finding out about trials clubs in south-western Ontario and possibly competing an an easy class - once I have mastered the basics. I'd be interested in getting in touch with anyone who lives in the Oakville / Burlington area. Ri…

  12. Hi All, I have moved the June 1st event to June 16th to accommodate some of the riders (away for USGP Trial). I have a new job which is great news for my family but not so good for my Trials time. I would still like to try and do the event at the farm June 16th but to pull it off I will need help on the weekend before and on the 15th. My hope is to use the same area as the event last fall (on the slope to the river) but build at least 3 new sections that are easier (or at least possible). Cheers, Michael T.

  15. The Joss Mountain ride took place last Sunday August 26th - We had a total of 15 riders, including two former three time Canadian Trials Champions - Stan Bakgaard and Steve Fracy. The Mountain is 7825ft at the Summit and unfortunately we ran into snow - This was the 4th and (maybe) last time for Outlaw Dave to make this difficult trek - it's like a long 35km section to the top. The pics (91) can be seen by clicking onto www,outlawtrials.com then gallery p2. - they are a bit jumbled up as they were taken by four different camera people - I'm the old guy with the banana and a beer at the top.

  16. Started by outlaw dave,

On August 17th, a group of 12 Trials riders made the trip up Joss Mountain, near Revelstoke BC the elevation at the top is 7,825ft, and it is both a challenging and inspiring ride. You can see pics of this by visiting www.outlawtrials.com - gallery

  18. Started by outlaw dave,

The 2010 Outlaw Trial is now in the History books - The 23rd running of this annual event saw 45 riders out on the two days of action in the Okanagan Valley, near Summerland BC. With the Vintage on Saturday, and the Modern on Sunday. The 20km loops on Sunday, had two loops of 20 sections for Expert/Advanced riders, and 15 x2 for the other classes. - An early morning rain shower made the rocks slippery, but they dried out for the second loop. Brandon Wince of Kelowna beat out Stan Bakgaard for the Expert win on the tie break, with Steve Foord in third place. Full results can be seen by clicking on www.trialscanada.com.

  19. Started by outlaw dave,

Please note that because of the extreme forest fire conditions in BC the Outlaw Trial has been postponed until Oct 9/10 - for more info: contact Outlaw Dave
