Despite me shouting BRAKES he went into a stone wall and managed to shorten the wheelbase by about an inch - oops! Fortunately no damage to son or bike apart from the forks. Silly question but should you be able to push the bike freewheeling when switched off or does it just drag the rear wheel as if in gear

Hello proud parents. How do you teach your kid how to wheelie on an Oset? My son really wants to do them, and he practices in the driveway going over a log for countless hours, but I can't seem to explain to him the proper way to use his body motion and coordination with the throttle. I'm not talking about doing any kind of long distance wheelies, he is simply struggling with being able to lift the front on demand. Anybody willing to share their teaching aides or tricks?

Hi, I put new grips on my son's 36v bike and now the throttle comes in at half power making it impossible to ride. The grip that I put on the throttle did require a bit of force to go on and I'm concerned I have damaged the throttle position sensor, I have not looked at taking it to pieces yet but was hoping there would be an easy fix before having to strip it. Any advice would be appreciated, cheers, Mark.

Here are the instructions, this should give most of the details that are needed to decide. Throttle Tamer Instructions V1.0.pdf It is a inline device that fits between the throttle and controller. Here are also a couple of pictures of the device. Please be aware that I do not make these or sell these devices, I just think that It may be a good solution to a problem that some are having with throttle control on electric bikes.

I'm thinking of switching my son's oset 20 to a thumb throttle to avoid whiskey throttle. He's had one incident already and if it keeps happening and he gets hurt, he may not be so keen on riding, which would be terrible. He is familiar with a thumb throttle from his quad. But since no one does this, its probably a bad idea, but I don't understand why?

Has anyone put center mounted training wheels on the Oset 12.5 (not rear axel mounted)? Like www.wheels4tots.com?

Newbie here, just joined forum. Just purchased brand new OSET 12.5 for my little 4yr old boy for christmas, he did have PW50 last year with stabilisers but had so many crashes due to the stabiolisers he ended up too scared to ride it so ended up selling it. He had a quick try out on oset 12.5 and loved it so used the money from the pw and some extra for xmas and purchased a new one. He has all the clothing and boots from when he had pw but would like to purchase a childs trials helmet as the one he has is an mx full face helmet, does anyone in south west area sell them as i would rather him try it on than guess and buy one from the internet. Hi All, First post here in the Oset forum. I had a 314Cota some time back, and was happy that my old username still worked. Does anyone know if any of the true mx / dirtbike tires will fit the width of the rims on a 12.5 Oset? The stock tires are great in the driveway and lawn, but we just cleared some area at the back of the yard that is pretty slick clay on all but the driest days. Open to thoughts - Thanks, Pete

Just got a 16 24v and was suprised to read in the manual that the tyre pressures should be 30-40 PSI front and rear. Is that the right setup for trials? Many thanks in advance.

Does anyone know of an alternative rear tyre to the Kenda 2.7 x 16 for the Oset 16"? Ideally one which is a bit knobblier as they seem to struggle on muddy sections with the lighter riders on them. Also the mechetechno 12" seems to have more traction? I wonder if this is due to better frame design or/ shock is better quality??

hi i wanted to no if its possible to fit a oset 36v 900w 20.0 lite motor into the oset 16.0 eco? im sure i can upgrade to the 16.0 racing motor but thats only 50watts more. i just thought id check with the 20.0 lite motor being 36v same as the 16s that maybe it could be done. the standed 16 eco is 750w the racings 800w and the 20.0 lites 900w and all 3 are 36v and use 3 battries also could any one tell me what are the best batteries to go with? any advise welcome. kind regards

My daughter likes riding her trials bike more than anything else (although rock climbing comes a close second) she is just getting to the stage where she needs good brakes but being a very small five year old, her little hands can't apply much pressure on the brake lever. I've tried various ways to improve the brakes but have now 'bitten the bullet' and fitted a twin piston hydraulic system. Hi anyone on here any advice on which forks etc will improve the handling of the OSET 16?? Ive found a Rock shox rear shock which with a little engineering will work but I'm unsure which front forks I could use from say a mountain bike, Rock Shox, Fox or similar? Are they sized as 20" then? 1 1/8 steerer? It just seems to me that once the rider has progressed to a reasonable level the bike is letting him down, as the suspension doesnt damp like it should but rather just springs and bounces around lifting the wheel off the ground and losing traction. I dont want to spend a fortune as I am rather hoping his legs will grow and next season get him a petrol bike. Any ide…

Hello All, My grandson is interested in motorcycles and turning three. His mom seems open to him riding trials (versus mx, etc). I am imagining that kids outgrow their Osets regularly so they come up reasonably often. Does anyone know of one available in the NE US? Thanks, Ward
