I am looking at chainging the colour of my daughters 16" Oset as she would like a more girly colour, I was wondering is anyone has tried spraying a trials bike mudguard? Is there a paint that is flexible enough to stay on without cracking? Pete

Well folks, I bought an old oset off a friend without doing any research, what can I say, it was before Christmas and I was panicking! Anyway, it's the 24v 500 Oset 16 Spider but I bought a 36v Boost bike battery which certainly peps it up a little (a lot). Pretty quick top end, actually quicker than my 24r to be fair, the 24r is carrying me tho, and I'm definitely at the top end of 90kgs. After breaking small 9mm chain earlier today (I'm pretty sure it was fairly old) I was thinking of upgrading to a heavy duty sprocket and chain set (9T front and 68T rear) but I'm not sure if the sprocket will fit the front motor as it doesn't had the D shaped fitting. What made Oset's engineers choose brushed motor over brushless? Almost all e-bike alternatives run brushless. Is it because these motors are less expensive? Better low speed characteristics (RC crawlers have brushed motors for that reason)? Starting to think about an Oset 24 conversion. So many brushless controllers and motors options as opposed to brushed...

Hi Gave my 4 year old son a go on a 25cc trials bike. Got on fine but i think it is a bit too heavy for his age. Looking for a oset for him to join in the fun at weekends with myself and 12 year old son. Anyone help? :)

If anyone has done an air shock upgrade on a 16 Oset, could you please post details/pics of the shock and modification needed? Trying to shave a bit more weight off the bike for my daughter. Also, if anyone knows how to soften up the fork that would be useful too. Much obliged

Hi all, I recently bought a second hand 2012 24v 16.0 and are struggling to get more than 20 minutes run time, infact the leds in the throttle show "low" after about 5-10 mins. Surely i can expect better than this? So far ive tried: 2 sets of new batteries Checking for excessive drag in the drivetrain (the motor is notchy when spun but i get this is normal?) Checked the balance of the batteries Charged the batteries with a car charger as well as the oset one Any thoughts anyone? Cheers Wayne

I got the bike built and it is working pretty well. To make this work I: 1. Stretched the swingarm 3". 2. Bought the beefiest 36 spoke 26" bicycle wheel I could find. 3. Laced the wheel to the stock Oset rear hub in a 4-cross pattern using DT Swiss butted spokes (13 ga. at the end like stock, 14 ga in the middle). 4. Added 6" to the chain. 5. Bought a standard front wheel for downhill bikes (26" for 20mm through axle). 6. Put in 4 EarthX LifePo4 12V 24 aH batteries and made vacuum molded custom plastic shells for them. 7. Hi, I just purchased the bike recently and have a ton of fun with it. Only nagging issue so far is a clunking noise. I would guess it's coming from the front fork, because as I was focusing on determining where it comes from, I could link to the time when going at speed over roots, as if the fork was quickly rebounding to the maximum extended length. It almost feels that there's no top-off springs, but rather like a metal bushing would hit a metal stopper lip in the tubes. I am running 10psi pressure and tried the rebound setting everywhere from min to max without any positive impact on the issue. Bike is in warranty, but dealer is almost 2hrs drive aw…

I disassembled my son's oset 16, gave the frame for powder coating and now I'm having trouble assembling the swing arm... basically the bushings are too small for the holes and I can't remember(or find) if there was anything between the swing arm and the bushings... Hi there, I just got to take my 5 year old son out for the first time this year on his 2018 Osett 12.5 and the batteries are pretty weak, only lasted about an hour. I would love to do the LIPO conversion but he wants to go again this weekend so I'm looking for something I could buy off the shelf locally. The shop here wants $135/battery but I can't even get through on the phone to see if they have them in stock. Oset 16: The batteries are flat (only one red light on handle bar indicator and the bike has no riding power). When i plugged the charging in the charging socket on the bike with the bike turned off, then turned the charger on the green light came on, but it has allows shown a red light when the batteries are flat? Using a multi meter i tested the charge current coming out of the charger, result 28.2 volts. I then tested the charge coming from the pos and neg leads coming from the bike to the batteries, result 28.2 volts. I then tested the link cable between both batteries and this sounded out okay. Dear OSET Customer, You may have heard about a new law that came into effect on February 10th. The law is a broad, sweeping law called the 'Consumer Products Safety Improvement Act' (CPSIA). The law was enacted as a knee jerk reaction by Congress to the importation of lead tainted toys from Mattel etc. The new laws give very strict guidelines that have had unintended consequences for many industries. Today we had one of the first part failures on our well used 36v 16. One of the pins of the masterlink sheared off. Over the last two years, the chain has derailed a few times, so it's tough to tell if it failed on its own or if it was pinched btwn one of the sprockets and the swingarm. Regardless, I need to get a replacement masterlink or maybe an entire chain, which I hope to get locally. Does anyone know the size of the chain, and if it is likely to be found at a bicycle shop? Today when we loaded up to go to a nearby park, I noticed that the black plastic cap was missing from the left fork tube on my older son's 16" 36v. I looked down in, and saw that the inside of the tube was threaded, but the fork seemed to be secured in the triple clamp. We had only ridden for 5 minutes when Owen crashed going through some mulch... "Daddy! My moto is broken!" Sure enough that fork tube had fallen out of the triple clamp and the wheel had spun around like the front wheel on a shopping cart. He was fine, and the bike was OK except for the fork. Reading on the oset website it says theres becoming a wide variety of aftermarket parts available and alot of bike parts to suit the oset. Has anyone got any websites that do oset aftermarket parts, or know of any parts that would suit the oset from bikes? I wouldnt mind fitting disc brakes and hydrolic levers onto the 12.5, is this at all possible?

Silly question but should you be able to push the bike freewheeling when switched off or does it just drag the rear wheel as if in gear
