  2. Hi everyone, I am in the need for some help regarding water pump for my recently purchased 2013 Gas Gas TXT 280cc Pro Factory Edition. Previous owner noticed some coolant mixing in the oil in the screen, so we purchased the water pump service kit. Apparently the problem was gone. Bike was in the workshop for two months, being working on it and getting some parts (I am located in Serbia, so it hard to get the parts here). Few days ago we managed to fix it completely, and just after we changed the coolant in the radiator, we did notice oil was mixed with the blue coolant again. Now I am again looking for parts to fix it. One solution is to get the service kit again, bu…

Hi Guys, Just picked up a 2021 TXT 250 (not GP) with tech ally forks and ohlins rear shock. I'm ~ 220lbs (100kg) in gear. I'm thinking I need to change the front and rear springs to suite my weight. What rates do I need?

I recently got a 2006 Gas Gas txt 300 pro. The manual says to check the gearbox oil by unscrewing the sightglass and using the dipstick. There's no way this can be correct. How do I go about checking this oil level?

I recently acquired this bike and one of the things I would like to do is to repack the exhaust. I have read many posts on the topic and I think I have a pretty good handle on the process. The one thing I'm not 100% sure of is getting into it. Do I simply remove the end cap and fill from there, or does it get filled from the pipe side? Sorry if this seems basic.

  12. Apologies I know this is most likely a stupid question... I'm changing the oil in the forks, I have started with the right side rebound leg, is there anything else I need to do other than set the correct oil height? Do I need to do anything with the damper circuit? Then I guess same question with the compression side? I have read all the posts here on the topic but am still a bit confused, I have the document from the hell team also but still don't fully understand if the complex bleeding applies to me if I'm just replacing the oil in the lowers. Thanks in advance. Gary

Hi all, Doing a refresh on a 2010 I picked up last year. The decals are sort of mishmash and a few scratches. I figured it wouldn't hurt to pick up a new set of decals. I'm seeing '09 and '11 on ebay. Would they both fit or no? I'm not too sure how the plastics have changed over the years.

Can someone please give me some advice. When I start riding the bike with the clutch free play set correctly all is well. But after a bit of riding I need to lessen the free play, the clutch is engaging too early, I turn the free play adjuster in. I have bled the clutch a few times and all is well. The clutch is newly fitted two months ago (9.7 mm of plates) I don't understand how the free play can change while riding.... Thank you Gary

  17. It always used to be (I understood) that the 10th character of the frame number was the year of the bike However I have a 2021 (First registration, declared new) where the 10th character is 'M' (2013) and a friend has the letter ' 'H' 2008 but the bike is registerd as 2017. Anybody shed any light on any of this please? Did they have a glut of frames that they are still using up?

Hi folks, Trying to fix an old JT 250. Any idea why the clutch wont seem to disengage, even with a new set of clutch plates? Clutch pressure plate seems to be lifting when the clutch is pulled. How much in mm should it be lifting? Is it possible that cold sticking plates could be locking together? Or is there anything else that could be broken and causing the lock? Thanks Alan

  19. Hello, my bike runs great and is easily started when cold.... however it is very temperamental when up to temp. Sometimes it will start second kick but quite often I might get a small backfire And then it takes alot of kicks and energy to finally get it to fire.... I have a photo from a few hours riding on a new plug, it would suggest to me the carb is a little rich... could this be my issue? If so what do people suggest adjusting... Thanks in advance Gary

  20. I'm struggling to figure out where the broken shim is from, it fell out when I released the sealing piston.... I've looked at some drawings but I still don't see? Any advice greatly appreciated. The shim is approx 0.1 mm shim 10mm I.d 20mm o.d.
