I found this on the net. Any ideas what bike was used or is it a custom frame?

Hi when open there are clips on opposite sides when unclasp should bulb and innards come straight out leaving glass and bowl.Never done one so don't want to damage and putting back together same way I suppose.Been looking for other people who done this and other electric work on Bultacos as better to watch and learn before attempting.

Hi could anyone help what bike this is from. On rim Me 1947 and brake arm screw has Bultaco m80.There is a akront sticker but no writing on rim.

Can some one tell me on the 72 Alpina the fill hole that's almost under carb what is that for? And on the right side of motor is that the gear oil side?? And what do I use for gear oil and is that fill hole that's under care is that for transmission? Thanks

My best friend died in May (he was on here as Monoped) and has left behind his private collection of bikes that I am now looking after them on behalf of his daughter. He had what he always called his 'Miller Bultaco 350' which has a chrome frame with the number 715. A recent visitor to my place called into question that it is a Miller frame as there is no rear loop. On closer inspection, the brazing does look remarkably like that of Mick Whitlock and the footpeg mounts are identical to the Whitehawk. I don't want to misrepresent this bike when I come to sell it or under sell it if it is a more desirable/rarer model than the Miller. Can anyone shed any light on th…

Hi folks I've just joined the forum because I've started restoring a 199 Sherpa. The current steering stops are a couple of old bolts welded onto the frame. I'd like to replace these - could someone tell me if the stops are meant to meet against the fork stanchions or the bottom yolk and is it possible for someone to measure the length of the stops on their bike? I suppose I just need to keep some clearance between the petrol tank and the forks on full lock.

Hi Boffins just joined what i hope to be the best forum for info exchange and problem solving So can anyone tell me why my Bultaco sherpa M80 has what seems to be original front lower engine mountings ground off .... ? 2 extra mountings on the upper frame for no apparent reason and finally the letter G stamped on the headstock ?.... have included pics very interested to read yr views chaps Best regards Frank

Hi , I have bought a new rim and spokes and have my old back wheel ready for relaceing but I have to remove the hub brake liner to get at the spoke holes in the hub anyone done this before , how is it done. Bultaco Sherpa 350

Hello, let me introduce myself first (I should probably post that in the Introduce Yourself post.....) I've been into bikes and off-road since I was 6 and got a Pee-Wee 80, I then graduated to a TS 125 when I was 8, it was a rescue from a scrap yard as it was fire damaged so my Dad and I set about restoring it, whilst all the other kids got the new Atari games system for Christmas in 1984 I was more excited to get a new seat for my bike! (This should give you a clue to my age ) When my TS finally died after many years of faithful fun I was in the market for a new bike and it just so happened that my neighbour over the road had one for sale so when I was 14 I saved up…

I brought it up in another post, but I thought it might be best to start a new thread in case anyone else wants to know. Anyway, does anyone re-sleeve Bultaco cylinders? Are new sleeves even available?

As I go through this 151 Sherpa I am seeing some things that are unusual. Trying to sort out the wheat from chaff if you will. Pretty much have it all figured out except the swing arm. I can’t tell if it’s a stock piece or an aftermarket accessory or a factory modified unit. It has plates welded to it to allow you to change shock positions. It certainly appears to look professional.

hi again any one now the size of the ball bearing in the clutch actuator lever mines a bit crushed got it out but no way can I measure or match one up by it ordered all my stuff from inmotion today and forgot bearing, just wondering if anyone knows the size so hopefully pick one up tomorrow locally cheers

Finally was able to split the 151 cases today. What a horrible mess inside. I think this thing sat outside for quite some time. I sure hope the 125 internals from my other engine will swap into this case. piston is still stuck in the cylinder, so will have to remedy that. Anybody know where I can find a parts catalog for cheaper than the $100 they want on Ebay? A photo copy would work fine. I have a Haynes manual coming, but it’s not model specific. Can some one please tell me why my alpina 250 will sit and idle and rev up good but soon as u put it in gear let out on clutch it just bogs out and goes dead? Thanks any suggestions please

Hi first thankyou for help I do appreciate it.Pictures of metal tanks is there a fluid I can buy to clean out tank and second need filler for side of tank a lot of dents and has been filled before.I have been watching YouTube to see if could pop dent out to original shape but scared of splitting tank.So looking for a good filler to do one side the other side is fine thankyou

Hi took the bulk of the paint of forks someone painted over the black with a thick dark blue paint now down to metal with black streaks and a bit left of blue to rub of by hand.Is there a hard wearing black spray or paint i could buy cheap to put back to near original black.Went to halfords and staff member pointed out black hammer spray but it was around 10 quid.I have 5 small tins of metal normal and 5 hammer paint paid 10p a tin in sale a year ago but all silver pity cannot use them as have 3 sets of forks to paint. Also started sanding one of the 198 frames and original colour is white under the blue.So need to buy white spray or paint is there a name for the white so…

HI guys, Quick question. I have a fork cap that's shooting oil everywhere whenever the fork is compressed. Do these look like normal caps? It looks like there is a screw in the middle that has been shaved. I can't really see how these are serviced, can they be and do they look standard? Cheers

Hi is it the heat gun (no cap on) or paint stripper as been told its not as strong as it was in my youth.Tried sanding as was going to leave paint as a primer but still rough with lots of paint pit holes in.There is 3 inch hairline crack runing along bottom length ways which need to be fixed.Heard that a putty resin has been invented to repair metal instead of welding so will look into that soon .Thanks
