Trials Gear

Just putting this out there. I have one of the Ritratto fleece material jerseys that were the official Beta items. It's great for cooler weather. Is there anything similar made by any of the manufacturers. All they talk about in their ads is breathable polyester. Personally if I could find a stock of these old Beta jerseys I'd snap 'em up.

I've seen someone in the background of a photo wearing a kind of low trials boot, that goes just above the ankle. I keep wearing out walking boots chasing after my lad and setting out trials. I find wearing my trials boots don't suit running. Does anyone know who does these low type of boots and how much they cost? Many thanks

i have a double xxl airoh does anyone know if a xl liner will fit and where can i buy one ?

Hi, After finally settling on buying some Gaerne Lorica trials boots online I would be interested to know what experience others have. Should I go for a size larger than normal to account for thicker socks. Obviously I won't be able to try them as there aren't any stockists local to me. I ride an old twinshock. Thanks for looking. Hi all I have just bought a nearly new pair of hebo boots.they are blue in colour but I don't know what model they are, but I need a strap and the fixing plate that allows the strap to slide or grip.I have searched the internet but no joy.can anyone point mein the right direction.Thanks.

Hi all, where could I get some clice Sherco gear from like MRS uses? I have looked everywhere but I have had no success. Is the Sherco branded gear just the same as the clice gear? Thanks.

I was reading on here the other day about trials boots and which ones are the best. It got me thinking that I should go out and have a look at mine and give them the once over. Got in the garage, scrapped all the mud off, give em a pressure wash, actually used some dubbin I found under the sink and low and behold, they have come up looking like new. Not bad since I bought them in July 1998 and only ever bang the mud off them.

As with the Wulfsport gloves I used these today at Corten in the cold and rain and wished I had bought them years ago. Size fits well too. I got the bottoms at Sports Direct in a sale for £4, usually £10, same as the top but even for £20 the pair great value as they do what say on the tin.

Evening all, does anybody have a clothing size guide for Beta’s range of paddock clothing? Ive spoken to Beta UK who couldn’t help and I haven’t managed to find anything online. I’d like to buy my lad a soft shell jacket but don’t want to guess the size as he’s only 10. If anybody has a size small or medium could you tell me the measurements? Thanks!

hi. i am 6"4 with a 32" inside leg. the xl trousers dont seem to be long enough on the sites, i will be buying online so trying isnt really an option. what are my fellow lanky riders using? i have a set of leathers that just about fit me but the sliders are a little too high, seeing as i am riding my trials bike more than my road bikes now i would like something that fits properly. not fussed about make or colour just something thats good. cheers all.

Long time no posts… I finally got round to buying a new lid, can’t find the old post I started but just wanted to share that I bought an Airoh TTR-S (convert red, white & blue 🇬🇧) and it is indeed very well vented. My first Airoh, tidy lid. Stacks up ok along side the Arai and 6D lids in the fleet. Cheers for the pointers.

I'm going to take the plunge into the world of trial riding soon and whilst I have plenty of off road gear I have nothing specific for trials. I've searched on here and also been googling but so far drawn a blank. I know I could go mail order but the main things I'm after are boots and helmet and I really would like to try them on before buying. So any links, contacts for clothing shops in East Anglia would be most appreciated. Thanks very much.

It is probably a riding technique error but my Rev3 chain eventually saws a hole through my boot. The swing arm also looks polished in that area on both sides so I must hug the bike a little but never feel interference when riding. My feet are little so it is not a size issue. I had a leather patch sewn on but now it has sawed through that. Can anyone recommend a more permanent fix? Would some kind of plastic work?
