The rear brake pistons were sticking and we tore them down the other night to clean everything up and get everything working right again. Split the caliper and used compressed air to get the piston out. Problem is we used a little too much air pressure and turned the caliper into a small canon. It launched the piston into parts unknown. Finally gave up looking for it today. Question is, can I buy just a piston or a rebuild kit that has new pistons in it? Note to self: cover piston with rag before blowing it out next time!!!

Hello, Are there companies making a racing wire loom? I know future used to make a very minimalistic wire loom for 4rt's but they are no longer doing that ? What can be taken off the bike ? i have seen some monts where a lot of those rubber tubes and catch tank and other stuff have been taken off so you get some space to work on the engine . I have seen smaller HT coils and smaller condensors beeing used to

Hi guys, got a new mikuni on the 248, just wondering what settings everyone else uses like mixture screw and needle settings, as mines bogging down like too much oil and the plug is dripping with fuel. Cheers

My '97 315 stopped idling today so I pulled the carb and checked the pilot jets (PHBH). The little hidden jet under the main idle jet seemed blocked so I removed it and didn't bother putting it back to see how it went. I've got it running as well as before which I would rate as 6/10 (but this might be due to other causes). The things is the manual says the air screw should be out 1 turn while mine is 2.5 out. Should I be worried? The pilot jet is a 46 if it matters. I'm very rubbish with carbs/2 stroke so any help would be appreciated.

Just thought I’d show you my version of a chain guard for the Montesa 348. Didn’t like the idea of paying upwards of £50 ish for something that might get wiped out in a section. There is a chain tensioner courtesy of In Motion nestling next to the gearbox sprocket, the upper chain run is protected by black water pipe ( cheap to replace if it breaks) the lower chain run is protected by thin pond liner sheet, this deflects falling crap from the tyre. There is also a lower chain guide made from bullet proof nylon (well the guy who gave me the plastic said it was ballistic grade). Hope you like. Any exposed glue (Gorilla) has now been carefully removed...it was just a belt a…

So I've been told there are restrictors in the header pipe, airbox and in the mid-pipe. I've dealt with the header pipe, but since I got my Monty second hand, how do I determine if the other restrictors are still in there? Sad to say, I'm not even sure what the mid-pipe is. I'm guessing it is the convoluted aluminum structure between the header pipe and the silencer. Thought that was the expansion chamber??? Cheers.
