Anyone know off hand the size of the front fork drain plug - I need to order gasket/washer and don't want to pull the old one off until I have replacements in hand as it may take a week to get the part.

Can I fit a counter balance weight from a 349 onto a 248 Crankshaft. The 248 has a part no 5160 171 02, whilst the 349 part no is 5160 171 03 Failing the conversion can anybody suggest where I can obtain a new or second hand 248 counter balance weight. Thank you.

Does anyone know if the 349 Cota has spacers between seat tank and exhaust.my bike the seatgets so hot lying on exhaust that it cannot be ridden.we received the bike as a basket case .thanks for any help anyone can give

The bike (2005 4rt) has a Mitani clutch it has started to make a rattle noise when the clutch is fully pulled in otherwise seems to work fine. Has anyone had this problem. Thanks

Just wondered if my 242 was still around. Bought new from Julian Wigg in January 1985. Later fitted with an Acerbis plastic tank. Does anyone have it?

Does anyone have any idea where i'll get a front disc for a 94' cota 314?? tryed sandifords they said it was discontinued! must be able to get one somewhere, any idea's anyone?

Recently bought a 1980 Cota 248 and v pleased with it. Just doing a bit of fettling tho and I noticed the steering head bearings are a bit loose, ie there's a little bit of play when I rock the bars. I presume they're new but want to tighten them up. Any advice? Is it just a case of loosen the top clamp (or take it off?) then tighten the head fastener? I thought the steering a bit too lively so this might help.

Hi all My Cota 310 (1990) used to run fine and now it does not spark. Does anyone have a wiring diagram (that I can get a copy of) And any common faults or ideas? Thanks Simon

Sorry if this has been covered before I had a look around on the site but could not find anything, I just bought my first trials bike a 03' 315r' It has a lighting kit on it and I want to take it all off, can I just strip all of that stuff off and unplug it or is there something else I need to do, any advice would be great.

Hive mind can you help me please. 247 with Electrex ignition and properly jetted OKO carb. Starts and runs fine but when riding it if you open the throttle there's not much snappiness about it and it seems a bit sluggish. Could this be it needing new piston and rings (hope not, too pricey), it doesn't smoke much or maybe a case of the exhaust needing a good decoke and air filter cleaned/replaced? Thanks in advance

hi all, last night i was changing my pads on the forunt brake. it went well with no probs.....but when i put the caliper back onto the bike brake fluid was seeping out of the seem were the two halfs of the calier meet. this only happens when i pump the lever. i changed the o-ring rubber washer to a slightly thicker one but it still leaks. is there a specific torqe setting to do the caliper up to? or is there something im missing out? any help appreciated! thanks max

I have a montesa 315r 2t just rebuilt it new head gasket I have noticed that I get some coolant out the overflow when underload going up hill. (yes the head gasket is on the correct way the rad cap seems good takes a fair bit force to compress the spring) Any ideas appreciated

I have some old small mountain bike lights that used to run off a battery in a water bottle. I was wondering if they could be run off the electricle system as most bikes come with a light from factory. the lights are 15 and 20 watts each, I think they used to run off 7.2 volts but really not sure on that one. would these lights be hard on my magneto? thanks for the help. I want to start night ridding soon and need some good light.

I'm setting up the rear shock on my 315 the preload has been wound right off and i am unsure how far up to wind it, could someone tell me roughly how much thread they have showing under the bottom lock-ring please so i have somewhere to start. Im 13 stone and prefer a slightly harder ride. Thanks Godzilla.

Hi all, I've tried looking at the online 315 manuals but they all seem to be for the showa forks. can someone tell me the oil weight and levels/heights in the older paolini (not sure thats how its spelt) suspenion? Thanks matt
