  1. I remember one in Ballerno/Curry about that time as i rode in it. Or maybe because i was so young at the time i did not know where i was . B40rt will know.
  2. Scottish riders can join the acu aslong as they have an Engish postal address .Scottish clubs cant join the acu. This difference in costs has been going on for at least 20 years, at that time i was going mx and you could race at Brampton for £16 and up here it was £25 the prize money was the same. A group of us tried to run a mx on my land under the acu to keep the entry fee down but the sacu put a stop to it.
  3. If you wan forks done try this number, they done what Philpots said could not be done. 01623862314.

Just got Aprilia tx 320 in boxes. There is two engines worth would i be better to source complete engine because it would need every bearing replaced and no saying what else.
  6. Is it blowing the water out of the the small pipe .Is the fan coming on and staying on if not check the wiring loom as it goes into the ecu .My ossa done this the brown wire that comes out the ecu the splits into two check that joint should be soldered.
  7. Is this the way it is or is there something that can be done to make it better. The yam seems to run fine plenty comp starts 1st 2nd kick pulls well but when i jump onto my 240 it just seems to run better, revs cleaner sharper.
  8. If you like working on bikes buy a Gasgas , if you enjoy riding then insted buy the Beta .Had them both.
  9. midlife replied to ikb's topic in OSSA
You can adjust the tickover with the small screw on the side of throttle body.
  10. Had a Gasgas 2009 280 cost me a lot of cash to keep going, and gearbox put me out SSDT. Had a Sherco 2011 250 rode SSDT parts bill for week £7 for the plastic sprocket guard. Have a Ossa 2011 like it alot a couple of small probs, planning to keep it for years.
  11. Mrs A Lamb is going the presenting.
  12. Hello the bike was also owned by George Noble who also rode the bike in the SSDT but he cant remember which year.George Hodge also owned it as well.
  13. Turn the bike upside down this dumps all the fuel into cylinder floods the engine. Its an old mx trick and boy those can really rev

Have a mono yam think the carb is worn out , what can i replace it with. Pref with some thing that fits straight on and makes it run like it should.
  15. midlife replied to motovita's topic in Twinshock
Dont know about Falcons.but have a couple of twinshocks some with Betor units but have a 240 Fantic with a set of Rockshocks cant see how they could be better. And they are rebuildable at home no sending them away.

Does any one know if there is another wheel that fits the front of a pinky. I was told some yz and Dts are similar
  17. I was speaking to some one high up in the Sacu and the way it was explained to me was the Sacu lost £40000 this year and this is reason for the increase. He also say that after all the different costs were considerd enties would only go up by £2 which sounds ok. BUT then i was told by the same person that useing the same costings that a MX entry fee could come down £2. I am no rocket scientist but how many trials riders get hurt in relationship to a MX rider, having done both i know the answer and if there is anyone out there that needs to ask they must be from some far and distant planet with 4 moons and have not even seen either sport.
  18. The new levy is bacause the SACU need/want more money and the riders are going to pay which is fine because we all know things cost more. The levy as has bean said before is to be payed by all competetors in Scotland MX, Road race, Enduro, Quad racing and Trials ALL pay £5. If your entry fee is £40 or more (MX, RR, E, QR) may be a small price to pay, but if you are going to a club trial cost say £8 that is some F*****G price hike. East Neuk Wobblers are going to see more bikes me thinks.
