98 Beta Techno Lampkin Rep Running Backwards And Bad Kick Back Popping And Spluttering ?
Hi A bit of end float is not too bad, sounds more like an electrical problem. CDI, or coil if its separate from CDI, or as its a Beta probably the stator. I would check all wiring connections and earthing points, new plug, and make sure top end doesn't need a decoke. TLTEL

It May Be Small But Its Fun
I took my old TL150 out to a Trial last weekend, the first time I have ridden it for probably three years. I normally ride my 350 Gas Gas and love the power but it can be a bit of a hand full sometimes. I have obviously improved quite a bit as a rider since last time I rode the Honda and I had a great day and was quite surprised how well I did on it. I will definitely be using it a bit more now. Another thing I had forgotten is that everyone loves those little bikes. TLTEL

Stevem099. Hi, there are just under 50 members in total. Not all of those members ride but we have a good bunch of friendly people. Next week end is a Tenterden trial which isn't too far away and our club have one on the 5th of May I think. at Canterbury. TLTEL

Rear Tyre Bead Seating
I have used the a bmx tube and it works really well, my son used to have loads of them in the garage and they are just the right size. I have also in the past popped in to my local bike shop to get them to pump them up as they have a high out put compressor, they have never accepted payment for doing it. TLTEL

Complete Novice Regulations Question
I think a kill switch is regulation for ACU trials. Stevem099 you can find the information on the ACU website. Have you joined a club yet? Folkestone club is just down the road, check out our website. We meet in the Drum pub at Stanford once a month for a beer and a chat. once joined up you can ride all the local events. TLTEL

What Did You Do To Your Gas Gas Today?
Shyted, sorry to here about your Gash Gash, I know a couple of people that had brake problems with new 2013 bikes. Took mine out today (1995 model), had a great Trial 36 sections in the woods. Brakes were fine . And my mate keeps asking, when am I going to get a new bike? TLTEL

New Memeber Puzzled With A Honda Restoration Project
Hi gelert as already said, sounds like an XL185. what does the number say on the crankcase down by the gear change shaft. I did have an engine that was bored out to 180 years ago (still got the bottom end) but you had to resleeve a 124 barrel and machine the cases to make it fit. you could see the machining as it cut through an oil way in the case. hope that helps. Complete Novice Regulations Question
Hi stevem099 You don't say what part of the world you are from, so I can only say how it is in the south of the UK. Your bike will not be scrutineered at a club Trial, as long as it is safe, balls on your levers throttle shuts off by its self and your brakes work you should be ok. Have fun, TLTEL

That's it you are hooked! Nice looking bike, best Beta I've seen. TLTEL

Scorpa Or Fantic
I would go with the Scorpa, easier to ride as its probably lighter, it will have much better brakes and suspension than the Fantic. it won't be so much of a hand full as the 280 But any of them will be ok though if you are only playing. I am 52 and have an old Gasser and twinshock bikes, but find the Gasser much easier to ride than my TLR or TL. TLTEL

Gas Gas Pro Running Problems
I think its always been pinking in this country. I remember my dad demonstrating pinking in his Morris minor in the early 70's. I had never heard of pinging till I came on this Forum. TLTEL

Txt 250 Sprockets Not In Line
Hi Glad you got it sorted, not sure about the chain, I think mine is 100 link and that's with a 42 /10 set up. but my sons bike has 44 rear sprocket. I am pretty sure that I bought two 110 link chains last time I replaced them and cut them to suite. That's a 520 chain. TLTEL

Rear Tubeless Rim 36Hole For Suzuki Beamish

Bike Started Making A Knocking Noise Beta Rev3 06
No you don't need to turn it upside down. looks like you found the problem. Clean it all and it will run good again... I also use the higher octane fuel as you seem to have better running with it. These two strokes can be a bit fussy. TLTEL
