Only the very early models had issues, and they were all sorted under warranty.
My 290 is smoother than a smooth thing winning first prize in a being smooth competition, so don't believe everything you read, especially on internet forums.

Sherco 290 all the way. All the best riders ride sherco 290's, and some really bad ones also

Just sold a mint 2007 model. It wasn't for me for doing trials, cracking bike for trail riding, but for trials, it wasn't for me.

I dont particularly think my shock is knackered, but can't help but think it's not the best, though it's not an old bike, it just doesn't feel great IMO

What are the benefits other than more adjustment ? Like would an average clubman rider know or even notice the difference ??

I'm suspecting my preload has been wound off the thread as I can't get it would back again, how would I go about getting it back on ?
I'm guessing I will have to get the spring compressed somehow ??

err....nothing to do with the seller, more the manner in which your kids abused the bikes for the short time they had them.
