    Spyware

Hello Can anyone recomend some free downloadable software for checking against spyware . Thanks.
  5. there is a difference between a difficult section and a dangerous one, especially for the beginnes and novices. I dont mind struggling at a hard Trial and losing 100 marks so long as I can drive home.
  6. thanks for the pics, but are you going to tell us where it is or were you just tresspassing in my garden again.

    Pot Hunters

Apart from nationals and youth events as I know little about them to coment and youths need encouragement ,why does everyone feel the need to award everyone for everything these days. Some Trials seem hand out 'thanks for turning up' trophies to all. Just the top few riders in the experts, youths and pre-technoligy classes deserve the credit at the event and shoud be recognised for that as that sets the standard for all other riders to aim at. If like me,you have no chance of reaching that level and just love a day out on your bike, just ride what ever route you enjoy and who cares what anyone else is up to.Unless you are the best rider on the day does a bit of plastic mean anything? If the only awards availble were to the winner of the hardest route would this would spoil the glory hunter/professionial day. There needs to be routes and classes for everyones ability not prizes.
  8. many makes and models have used motoplats in the past,it may be worth serching for a second hand one.

    Ddg Frame

anyone know much about DDG bikes. who makes the frames or main distributer.I have had a bit of bother with mine.I cant seem to find much info about them. i have had a serious crack appear and it is nearly a brand new bike. i dont know weather to get a new frame or break it up for parts but I was wondering if there was a manufactures warrenty on the frame as it looks like a fault in the metal, its crumbling . Thanks. Mort.

    Fan Died

hi. not sure how it works on your particular bike but on most of them you can bypass the thermostat to narrow down the search for the culprit. just join the 2 wires that connect to the thermostat and see if the fan kicks in (while bike is running).if not and you have checked all other wire conections for damage or corroision, then it could be the fan motor it self or a couple of other parts such as regulators and rectifiers but that will mean testing the fan motor with another power sorce and other checks of the system with a mutimeter. good luck
  13. dont forget to state if you need tube or tubeless tyres when you order one.
  14. the Trials practice ground in Corton,Suffolk. I had a great time there in the summer. email trialspark@aol.com or ring 01502 731627
  15. I agree AtomAnt. a hard fought and well placed 3 dabs deservers more credit than a walk through the section pushing the bike(although still astride it ).perhaps a 4 mark awarded( or a stoning and booing from the observer). But there is still some satifaction of paddeling your way out of a bog like crazy and getting a 3 after getting stuck there on previous laps . So perhaps we shall have to put up with it ,and anyway ,award or no award we all know how good or bad we have ridden .
  16. Dan,some other users on here have mention a sherco site full of helpful 'how to guides' but I ve no idea what its called but hopefuly someone will mention it for you. If not ,its not tricky so you may as well strip it down and inspect and grease it instead of just tightening it.and iam not a sy owner so it may be a bit different for you but try un doing and removing the main headstock nut (might have to get the bars out the way first).then(with front of bike suspended in the air on a solid stand) loosen the pinch bolts on the top clamp(that clamps the fork legs in)and remove the top clamp and the botom half should drop out. clean bearings and shaft and check for wear and if all looks well just grease it up and replace. If they are shot then search on here again for help on removing the bottom one. when its back together, dont over tighten the main nut too much, just enough so theres no play but still turns nice.then do the pinch bolts up(grease them too).
  17. I have an 03 rev and have noticed the clearance between the chain and the back of the mounting bracket for the footpeg seems to have reduced. Both pegs seem to be sitting symmetrically so I dont think its due to major crash .So is it a common problem and due to gradual sagging of the frame over a period of time and has anyone esle had this trouble.(it seems the frame not the brackets at fault) My feet seem to spend most of the time on the ground anyway so Iam a bit surprised its happening.

belray gearsaver seems good stuff ,espicialy if you have gear selection problems
  21. james.I will try and attacth a diagram.Iam not sure how it will appear, the yellow wires are a bit faint
  22. dont forget to have a good look at the original position of the stator you are removing,so you can replace the new one at the correct timming .easy way is measure the witness marks left by the bolt heads or measure the gap between a bolt head and end of the slot. it makes a of differnce just a few degress either way.
  23. you could also try self tapping screws through the sides of the rim,4 each side.make sure they are not too long for ovious reasons.
