  1. Haven't heard too many rev cleanly without pre-revving with the clutch in till they clean out, if porting will clear that mess up why don't the stockers do it. As to the top riders riding stock bikes, other than Sheffield, they all are riding fairly heavily modified rides!
  2. Did Caby's bike rev as cleanly as the Stock ones, if so he wouldn't have made it up the Big obstacles. None of the top riders bikes are "Stock"!
  3. Will Dabster step up and explain, or wimp out!
  4. It was I think Dabster on the picture!
  5. Aren't you supposed to use your index finger on the brake, no wonder you have troubles!
  6. Hopefully all clubs will adapt a suggestion I heard was made that the Awards especially for the Pro class will be a step above the other ones, to aleviate some of last years not so good ones! Also to continue keeping the Pro lines in line with challenging the top riders, not to make it too easy for them!

And by all means "Bold New Graphics"!
  8. And Air-Cooled, pretty modern!
  9. Try to find one now, and what is their cost ?
  10. A little dissapointing on the size of the Sherco top end, could have been made smaller!
  11. Good event and pictures, but who designed the awards?
  12. Definitly not as "Poppy" as a Beta!

    Sherco 4t

Dry weight of the 290 is 159 lbs.
  14. Last thing in the rumor mill was they were still hoping the FIM would go back on their 4-S ruling!
  15. Nigel; wasn't there a story that the Sherco 4S was going to be in the SSDT also?
  16. WOW, a couple of surprises here Weighing In... Dan Brown and Barry Florin conducted an impromptu new-bike "weigh in" at the Trials Training Center during the National Competition. Using out-of-the-box machines from TTC's own stock (with exception of the 4-stroke 140cc Scorpa and the Gas Gas Raga Special, which were provided by the respective importers), each bike was weighed, using accurate digital scales. Before weigh in, each bike was emptied of fuel, but contained tranny fluid and coolant in ready-to-ride form. Weights (LBS.) From Heaviest To Lightest Montesa - 167 (without lights) Beta - 164 (with lights) Scorpa 4-stroke - 163 (without lights) Scorpa 2-stroke - 162 (with lights) Sherco 2.9 - 159 (with lights) Gas Gas Pro 280 - 156 (with lights) Gas Gas Raga - 148 (without kickstand) For comparison, a 1975 Honda TL125 weighed in at 198, with fuel. Sherco's are right in there!!
  17. Dry weight as weighed in at TTC at the National was 164#, official results for all bikes coming up in Trials comp. That was I believe a 280.

03 rev 3 280- started fine, ran for a couple minutes then died,no spark, tried new plug, still none Whassup?
  19. I know they will have "Bold New Graphics" if nothing else!
  20. If there is no sag the spacer isn't nescessary, the oil change should help, also did you adjust the dampening.
  21. It was nice to see the level of difficulty stepped up, especially for an invitational! Huge congrats to Ryon for his decicive win this year!yes, it will give him a spark for the rest of the season, but the results will be close! The 3 and 4 places weren't far behind also! The only thing I didnt like was seeing another rider protesting someone elses ride! I thought the observer had that call. It made people in the stands wonder what was going on and was a head-scratcher for some of us also. Once again a big congrats to Ted and his crew for a job well done. PS; I missed Ringo!
