Rear Brake
It's supposed to be a bit more difficult to apply the rear brake, to prevent accidental braking. I only cover the rear brake at all times, when I'm attempting to ride wheelies, because in this case, one is always more or less at the limit of balance. In other occasions, for instance when tackling larger steps, I keep both feet in the same position, most suitable/comfortable for that instance, and only move my foot to the brake pedal when necessary. For a beginner though, it's a good thing to always cover, or at least be prepared to cover the rear brake, to prevent unwanted wheelies. It should become second nature.

It also could be a clogged "tea bag" fuel filter, located in the fuel tank. The metal fuel tank bottom tends to corrode over time, and the rust particles clog the filter.- Oh, The Inevitability Of It All.
I see that both crankshaft bearings for some reason, remained in the engine casings upon splitting them. Make sure the new bearings have a tight fit on the crankshaft.- Trials Central - The World's Premiere Dating Site
WOW! OMG! That looks like a wonderful trials location!- Kenny The Rooster - Contains Adult Humour
Are you talking about this Trump? http://time.com/4465744/donald-trump-undocumented-workers/- Oh, The Inevitability Of It All.
Follow the manual. Make an engine support if possible (see, page 3 #38). And use a puller, (see page 2 #30). http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/topic/57939-rebuilding-my-bultaco-159-engine/page-2- 4 Ride. New Montesa Motorcycle For 2016
Checked the shipping again and I was too hasty in my reply apparently. It was an estimate from 1993. Last year it was about $ 1700 one way See bottom of page: http://micapeak.com/pages/shipbike.html#Jan2008- Recent Things I Have Tweaked On My Jotagas
Good on ya mate, but your work isn't finished yet though. Still have to cut a piece off of that hose clamp on the carbie. But no worries mate, I'm just nitpicking.- 4 Ride. New Montesa Motorcycle For 2016
What would be the shipping costs of a 4Ride to the US? I've seen an estimate of about $700 Or would it be impossible to get it road registered? Also, this e-bay kit looks far from complete. In essence, it is "just" a fuel tank, seat and light kit. It doesn't seem to include any suspension or brake parts. So you would miss a lot of parts, that make it a "real" 4Ride.- 2 Year Old On Oset
First, make sure he's enjoying himself, every time you're out playing and practicing. Second, don't force and don't let him force, his very young developing body. And third, lead by example. Don't just tell him what to do, get your own (trials bycicle, mountainbike or whatever) bike out of the shed and show him. This also reduces the stress of him always "performing" and you always observing and explaning. On the technical stuf, you being a (former?) bike trials rider, I think you already know a thing or two. Oh yeah, and change the location now and again. Make it an adventure. Get out! On the great yonder! Where the buffaloes used to roam!- Plastic Fuel Pipe.
There's lots of good aftermarket stuff also, like Goodrich or Gates. Just stick with a well known brand because the composition of the rubber or plastic is important. And don't forget to choose the correct diameter of course.- New Alpinestars Tech T, Faulty
Sorry, I was just babbling about dealer - customer relation and stuff like that, you're right, totally off topic. I'll just shut-up now.- New Alpinestars Tech T, Faulty
Don't worry, I understand perfectly what you are saying. I only hope you were as honest about your intentions "to make a point", to your dealer and Alpinestars, as you are here. That's only fair, isn't it? Macho Man!!!! Choose your battles wisely.- 4 Ride Seat, Tank & Mudguard On 4Rt
From the parts list, see page 38, it's not that straightforward. several supports and brackets needed. Just look at part 14 (box base seat), which seems to be the major load bearing part. http://montesa.fr/documentation/- New Alpinestars Tech T, Faulty
So your explanation of "but what if you only have one pair" was just an excuse to make a point!? Good to know.- Old Versus New(Ish).....
Switching between a 2016 Montesa and a 1975 bultaco, the most notable difference for me is in the brakes, followed by the rear suspension and weight. And looking back on my 1998 Montesa, I would say I spend the most time on improving the brake performance on that bike. We have come a long way indeed.- 2016 Fim Trial Des Nations - Isola 2000 (Fra)
I think I hear Dougie at 1:33 in the video below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcRHGhy_5Sk- New Alpinestars Tech T, Faulty
I'm not saying you're unreasonable. I'm just saying I probably would have paid the few bob for shipping to the dealer (and ask kindly for a refund of the shipping costs), so the boots would probably be in Italy by now. Since you know exactly what Alpinestars is willing to do, you can either start contacting consumer-aid or something like that, or do the above. But you already know that. Good luck, I hope it's resolved soon. ps. You might be a victim of a conspiracy against Brittain because of the Brexit vote. But don't tell anyone I told you that. ... What!? Too soon?- New Alpinestars Tech T, Faulty
Some cooperation and patience might get you better results than digging your heels in. (no pun intended)- Doug's Wheelie
