  1. starting off it will drive you insane. by fluke, i tried it one day with my tyre pressures down extremely low and BOOM. i could balance. ive progressed from there.

i absolutely hate to use the old adage, but they really are like slippers on your feet. the brown are ok, the white are very stiff.

ive never riden a 300, but people the experienced riders say they are the ones if its torque you want. ive got a 280 and found it really snappy like you did. what i done was turn my idle down extremely low, so its only just above labouring on idle. it now pulls right from the bottom. completely transformed the bike

get the black. they are the most comfortable boots out there. the white and brown are made from stiffer materials.

i have always spoken up for hebo boots as they were my frist trials boots and i was happy with them as i didnt know any different. since shopping for a new pair (i ended up with forma boulders) i now realise they are junk.
  6. i agree with ham2. i hate the facination that people have with dubbing music over a motorbike vid. it has me reaching for the little X in the corner of the screen.
  7. at 6ft 3 id preferrably look at buying a beta as they are more suited to taller riders due to foot peg and handlebar position. at least thats what bike shops been telling me. neil (6' 1")
  8. '12 evo. it doesnt require much thinking about for me.
  9. if you got the allen head bolts in there just knock a torx bit in and remove it. if this method fails then you've done it wrong.

im warming to the idea of buying one of these stands. how high do they go up? is it a comfortable height to work on a bike? im 6' 1" and good looking. will i have to crouch down at all?
  15. neilh replied to starr870's topic in Trials Gear
can we some some pics of your bikes up on these stands please?
  16. neilh replied to pat52's topic in Gas Gas
and just think of the weight saving on not having a resistor in the spark plug. bou got one with a castrol sticker on it.

another vote for BPR5ES plugs here. its an extremely common plug, and as said, less than £2
  18. i never get problems finding neutral when its up to running temp, only when the engine is cold. if you're having difficulty, normally a handful of revs will assist in finding neutral
  19. old trials fanatic has actually made the funniest post ive ever read on TC.
  20. did you fail maths at school?
  21. today i spent mostly falling off
  22. neilh replied to what7u's topic in Beta
agree with this. get it running and spray it with brake cleaner
  23. i had my wheel bearings delivered today so ive fitted them and put it all back together. gonna go for a ride tomorrow to see what i can break this time. spanish junk.
  24. my new years resolution is to actually go to a trial. i may even enter one eventually.
