yes the standard one probably does foul a lot quicker than the iridium one, but i can buy 4 standard plugs for the price of 1 iridium. it enables me to change it more frequently. anyway, i bought it today. so second question, what gap does Gas Gas say to set it to?

how do you kick it over? do you kick it with the leg? the 300's like to go right from the top, and drop down on it with your whole body, leg locked in one position.

furniture polish is another good one. spray on wipe off. try it. i use the cheapest i can get. normally from the local pound shop. i normally pop in and get a fivers worth to last me a while cos i hate going in there...they never put the prices on anything.

priced both plugs up today. BPR5ES - £1.63 inc. vat. BPR5EIX - £7.20 inc. vat. im gonna go for the standard plug.

my computer wont open anything on the Gas Gas website mate. ive already tried finding out what plug goes in it but i run into the difficulties on th GG website so i asked here instead.

can anybody tell me what spark plug goes in my 2006 Gas Gas 280?

no. drill a small hole at the end of the crack to stop it creeping. then grind a V along the length of the crack. then weld it.

yep, another vote for the lever adjustment here. i had my levers set up for a miniscule amount of play as id didnt like the thought of a sloppy lever. (im borderline obsessive compulsive lol) i had the exact same problem as you are experiencing. slackened levers off, now its fine.

i clean mine in petrol. a lot of members will tell you not to do this with a modern air filter but in my opinion there is nothing better.

take the sherco. a 98' bike does not compare to a 06' bike in any way, shape or form.

my Gas Gas does this. (06' 280) and ive read on here that others have this problem too. when you kick it over and the revs start rising, shake it side to side...it will settle down to idle quicker. trust me
