  1. Although your lunch is included in your entry fee nowadays, so you only need money if you are expecting to be extra hungry!
  2. This year's regulations are still being finalised, but they're unlikely to change much from the 2010 Supplementary Regulations. They'll tell you all you don't find in the newcomer's guide...and more! There is a tyre service in the Parc Ferme - it used to be run by Dunlop, but it's now run on their behalf by Braybrook Off Road. I can't help with the prices, but I'm sure someone out there will drop you a reply with more info on that! With regards to working on your bike, you get a set running time for the day. If you finish within that running time you can use the time to work on your bike before you put it into the Parc Ferme at night, but be careful to do your sums right or you'll end up incurring points (or worse, being disqualified!) if you're too late! You'll also be allowed into the Parc Ferme 30 minutes before your starting time in the morning to work on your bike.
  3. Your fuel is in your entry fee and is pre-mixed where necessary - you'll get all the info you need in your entry pack at the end of February and in the meantime a letter is already in the post to you confirming your next steps to secure your entry.
  4. Have we really found something ballot-related that the committee haven't yet been accused of? Ageism will have to be added to the list for next year, just to keep everyone happy.
  5. Here it is - many thanks to the Pre-65 Committee for supplying the info online.
  6. List will be available on www.SSDT.org later tonight - got a copy from the P65 Committee today but am on the road at the mo so can't help until I'm home!
  7. For those of you who don't follow us on Facebook or Twitter, the SSDT ballot has been done and the entry list is now available HERE. Am now off to hide in my specially-built underground bunker for at least three weeks until the fuss dies down.
  8. Lovely stuff - will dig car out tomorrow and check! Is this the real Dabster?
  9. Problem is trying to get them - I've been trying to source them for my wee Corsa (which admittedly has an unusual tyre size for the car...or so I'm told every time they're not in stock!) since late October and Inverness has been completely sold out. My garage has even been trying to source them from elsewhere but no joy! Fortunately the other half's car is a whizz in the snow, so I just take the easy option and hitch a lift on bad mornings.
  10. At the mo I have no idea! I don't get the entries directly these days, they go to a PO Box in Edinburgh and Doreen our Entries Secretary processes them up to the closing date. We're definitely over-subscribed, but we're snowed out of the PO Box at the moment, so can't get to the latest batch of entries. All the factory/sponsor entries tend to come in at the last minute, so we're expecting to have a fair influx when we eventually get there. At the moment, the likelihood is that we'll delay the ballot until early January to let the mail that has been posted in the past couple of weeks catch up on itself...our post is running at least a week behind at the moment (longer where it originates in worse-hit areas of the country) so it makes sense to give a decent window to let the last of the forms come through. Updates will follow on the SSDT website as and when they are available though!
  11. Perce, this is not live chat you pillock.

  12. Is that Girvans outside the centre? Didn't realise there was a connection.
  13. Okay, have just sussed that this isn't ACTUALLY a Facebook status....d'oh!

No, it's not and for good reason. It has the ability to import status updates from Facebook, but I don't think that's a good idea at all :/

What, you mean you don't want to know that I'm glad it's Friday tomorrow? :)

  14. Good to see a decent showing of Scots this year....my money is on Gavin for top Scot, although I reckon the best odds would be on whether or not Jamie makes his start time sober.
  15. Think it's been down for a few days and has only just come back up in the past day or two - maybe you've got an old page cached? Try hitting PF5 loads of times, that should do it!
  16. It always starts the first Monday in May, so yes, for 2011 the dates will be Monday 2nd May to Saturday 7th.
  17. They're both MTB experts and (I think) do the commentary for the MTB World Cup - I don't know much about Dan, but Martin's certainly not new to trials, he's ridden the SSDT twice! For what it's worth, I think they were absolutely brilliant - they struck a great balance between catering for hardened trials riders and the general public that may not know much about the sport at all. Excellent job boys!
  18. Only if we fancy winding you up. Tried replying but your inbox is full - geez a shout on ssdtoffice@btinternet.com when you're back from hols (will have moved house by then, so don't know phone number at the mo!). Ta! Mairi.
  19. You find me! Job done! We normally put an appeal for observers out before entries open at the end of the summer, but you can also just give us a shout through the contact link on our website (www.ssdt.org) at any time. If you're interested in getting involved, gimme a phone and I'll talk you through the basics to give you a better idea of what's involved. PM me when you're about and I'll send you our phone number. Cheers!
  20. Patience not one of your strong points then?!! You'll get plenty of help when folk get home from work, don't worry!
  21. A banjo-playing, motorcycling Scot....you don't know Stuart Todd by any chance, do you?
  22. Cos you've got nothing else to do on Friday! Madman.
  23. Seen the line-up for the Kickstart revival on the Friday?! Sterling job! Bring it on! DETAILS HERE
  24. Those of you in Scotland will be only too aware of the Suzanne Pilley murder enquiry that is ongoing at the moment. For those of you who don't know, investigations have led police to Glen Croe and the Rest And Be Thankful on the A83, to the north west of Loch Lomond. They're appealing to any SSDT enthusiasts who may have been in the area on Wednesday 5th May....our route didn't go anywhere near there, but there will have been quite a few folk on the road during the week, so if you were anywhere near that area on the Wednesday, please take a couple of minutes to check out our article on www.ssdt.org. Thanks!
