Montesa won the 2006 Factory WTC and Fujigas had more wins that Raga. I reckon if Fujigas wasn't carrying an injury at the start of the seasons then he would have won. What this prooves is that the 4RT is competetive with the 2 strokes.
Bou joining Montesa HRC is the best move, so far, in his trials career. Not many riders manage to make a good living from trials and certainly not enough to retire from. At some point Bou will be a World Champion, regardless of what factory he rides for. In the meantime he may as well collect a bigger wage packet.
As regards Caby, he always comes across as being a quiet unasumming rider, bags of talent, Sherco keeping him is a very good move.
-
Irn Bru, popular with Jocks as a mixer with vodka. They also do a high energy version. I can just see Doug with his Irn Bru Airoh helmet.
-
I reckon Bou went to Montesa HRC for a few reasons, money probably being one of them. However Montesa HRC are without doubt the most professional factory set up that there is. If Bou has intentions of a World crown, which I'm sure he does, then he is with the best team to fufill that ambition.
Evidently he can ride and flick about on his back wheel as good on a 4RT as he does on a Beta. I for one are looking forward to seeing him riding the 4RT.
As regards Raga. He didn't go to Montesa HRC because they did not want him.
-
I see Albert has signed a new 2 year deal with Sherco. Good move for both rider and factory. Outdoors, if he ride all 2007 to the same level to which he finished the 2006 WTC, then I reckon he will certainly improve on his current third position.
Runner up to Doug?

I love the noise my stock 4RT silencer, with restrictors in place, makes. I find the exhust noise is exceptionally reduced when the engine is not running.

I know this website has its fair share of computer nerds or anoraks and it is to these people I am turning to for help.
Somehow, all my bookmarks have disappeared, I've looked in the recycle bin and elsewhere on my laptop but to no avail. Over the years I had bookmarked plenty of useful trials websites, music, sport, travel etc etc.
Can anyone :-
a) advise how they think this could have happened.
let me know if there is anyway of recovering them.
Thanks

Don't you mean lack of riding style...........................
Having said that I did enjoy the trial until I saw the results.

Its not just the frame thats cracking on a 4RT. The whole bike is cracking and its a cracking ride.
-
I've seen the 2007 plastics today, but on a older bike, look very nice.

He couldn't give the stuff away. Us Noverners must be a lot richer than I thought!
-
Will you be wearing a white beard as well.
Ho Ho Ho.
-
The majority of riders will agree with you , I'm pretty sure 99% would rather not win than cheat, because your ultimately only cheating yourself.
Having said that, '' Ronaldo's a right cheating diving *******!'

I don't understand why XC ting do not make the Repsol Montesa range available to the public, as without a shadow of a doubt it would sell like hot cakes. If you can buy the replica bikes why not the clothes to match?

I have seen a few extrodinary things.
E.G. Whilst at a European championship round in Spain we witnessed a Spanish rider take a 5 then a 2 in the last group on the final lap. Whilst checking my riders scores I also noted the observer had put the scores on his sheet correctly. Whilst waiting by the scoreboard we were already celebrating a well earned podium when the Spanish riders name was slotted into the top 3 (knocking us off the podium) His last lap score - 2 Marks !!!!!
Hawkstone Park - Bruno Cammozzi knoked a peg clean out the ground but carries on to the top footing all the way. Observer 5's him. Bruno gets off his bike, argues and then pushes the observer to the ground rolling him down the hill. Bruno then puts in an appeal which the ACU turned down. So he goes higher and appeals to the FIM who's top guy on the day was French. Result - Bruno awarded a 1 !!!!! Bye the way, the observer was my Dad and there was about 400 people lining the section who all jeered and boo'd Bruno for his behaviour.
So is that a bit of gamesmanship then?
Steve,
the Bruno Camomozzi one is very interesting. Definetely not gamesmanship. The bully should have been banned for years for that. Not even football would have tolerated that type of behaviour. The incidents, I believe, are still very rare in trials and I myself have not witnessed it to that level.
If he'd have done that to my Dad he would have would have had to have the section marker flag surgically removed.
Getting back on topic as a sport we do not face a severe problem with cheating and I would not say that any one nation or continent is any worse than an other. Although Taddy did get the run of the green in Poland this year.

I do not think anyone has mentioned cheating to win have they? There is a certain amount of rule bending, gardening or gamesmanship in trials and the odd moaning at Observers but no more than that and I cannot recall ever seeing blatant cheating.
If American trials is devoid of gardening, arguing with observers or gamesmanship etc then I salute you!
Does anyone know of any instances when someone has cheated and won and is prepared to name and shame.
-
Sound like he was being diplomatic.
Do you honestly believe America is not performing in trials because they are good sports.
Your having a laugh! Its because you haven't got any outstanding riders.
-
Its a 2007 bike and its only December 2006.
-
shows how dangerous chip pan fires can be.

I personally think its great news that Dibs will be riding a 4RT for the TRW Future Trial Team. Like Top Trial Team, TRW have a very professional set up which should hopefully take his riding to the next level.
-
Are you tempted to go then? I reckon it would be one hell of an experience.
-
Yeah I was suffering from falling over syndrome.
Infact I came off in a section hit my elbow, when I finished it had a gash on it that didn't stop bleeding till the morning. Swelled up like a balloon during the week and now I'm on a course of anti-biotics and anti inflamatories.
I love this sport.

I see they've finalised the dates for the Spanish Indoor World Trials Championship 2007.
Only a mere 4 rounds of the 9 are held in Spain. One in Argentina - Spanish speaking, one in Portugal (neighbours), one in France (neighbours), Italy (almost neighbours) and St Petersburg, Russia. Which I think is a twin town of Madrid, with a large Spanish ex-pat community. Okay the last one is a blatant lie.
Nevermind at least we've got non-Spaneesh Sheffield to look forward to.
-
I'm a bit surprised at this, usually Middlesbrough Club put all the results into envelope on the Monday night following the trial, which is club night.
You must have had an inspired ride then, Marky?

There's a chain of stores called Boyes in the North, Hull to Teesside area. I got a 750ml Thermos fuel or drink bottle, just like the Sigg ones for less than
