Pis*ed myself. A page out of my own book.
  4. Happens when they run backwards. What colour was it? Fresh oil or slightly milky?
  5. Some one should write a thesis on this and get a PhD, there's plenty of research material there.
  6. Arm pump. That's what the yanks call it. Dirt Bike and MXA have had articles on it. It may not be your case. They say in the following article it may be due to many causes including carpal tunnel syndrome, ganglion cysts, arthritis, neck abnormalities, tennis elbow and fractures. I had a similar condition when I was 16 but it went away with time. Here's the article: http://www.motocrossactionmag.com/me2/dirm...6C914E5A0E9FAF8
  7. Thanks woody, much appreciated! Don
  8. Tr80's whether 250's or 350's all had the same tank/seat design. I have a couple of yellows and an orange and they all have the same seat with a metal "hook" that fits in and under the tank held down at the rear with two bolts that thread into the frame. Here are a couple of pics.
  9. After the recent topic on the monoshock Ossa I thought I'de give a heads up. Just got my copy of VMX and featured inside in full technicolour is the monoshock Cheney Ossa.
  10. Good website vaughan. Lots of good info there and great pics.

  13. It happened to me, as well as slightly bending the kick start. Played around with the stator but that didn't cure the problem. Woodruff key was ok as everything else. So I put a new stator in. That fixed it.
  14. The gearbox looks similar to this one from MSC.
  15. It was quite slippery but not as bad as after rain. A couple of the big boulder sections were left out mainly because of fallen trees.
  16. Camden Cup Kent & Sussex Centre Team Trial. Sunday 7th. May.
  17. Check you get a spark. My 310's spark is hardly visible so don't do it in sunlight. But I suspect if you left the fuel on then your carb is probably bunged up with a sticky mess of dried fuel and oil residue. Open up the float bowl and have a look. Try giving it a clean if it's too bad then you can get all the parts from: http://www.dellorto.co.uk/ They were very helpfull with me, excellent service. Best of luck.

  19. The correct yellow paint that Ossa used in its day for the Gripper TR80 was/is: Maxmeyer Alfaromeo 132 I got mine from Autopaints in Brighton but the name had changed to: Maxmeyer Scuolabus 132
  20. I have been told that the TR80 gripper's orange colour is: RAL 2011 Tief Orange ("deep orange" in German I believe) Now you have to get the plastics to match. Best of luck.
  21. Thank you Woody. With this one I can't take the credit. It's a one off. But it is a deeper orange and the black is also deeper. The bike was one of the first 250's off the production line and its original colour may have been yellow. But its is a full blooded 250 and smooth on the throttle. Grib, the 4 leaf clovers are part of the casting.
  22. Matching frame and engine numbers and correct bore and stroke. All mine I'll try and find out the correct colour code next week for you. No promises.
  23. atachally ist a 250 and the pro is a 300 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Read the article or bablefish it. It says it's a 50cc and the pic jpeg properties seem to justify the 50cc description, but yet again Darwin may be wrong.
