  1. I followed ferretflashers advice on the plug and also make sure I let it tick over for a minute or two without any throttle (to let the sensors settle down) .. it now runs like a russian ballet dancer on steriods ... Mint .... more fun to ride than any 2 stroke i've ever ridden (thats all of them)
  2. Andy, Got mine today thanks ... If you want my honest opinion ! - i think the white backgroung is a no no, clear or carbon effect would have been far better for the forks (no or little extra cost involved). The quality of the sticker looks generally poor .. Not a complaint, just open and honest feedback that I hope you will appreciate. Quality of your website (out of 10) = 10 Quality of the stickers = 4 You would have been far better off getting vinyl lettering like in the pervious posts in this thread (r2w) etc.
  3. Hi, Looking for a bit advice, not a clean tick over on my 4RT, its wandering .. high then low.. What could it be ? Havent tried a new plug yet , but I've heard the gap on the plug should be closed up ? can anyone confirm ?. It's fine once above tick over and revs normally ? Does having the rear baffel out make any difference ?

    Build Quality

All of the new bikes available today are good - all are breakable - all will be unreliable if not maintained properly. Every rider holds a light for their own machine and manufacturer. I'm off out on my Volvo (4rt) now and will be meeting my mate on his Ferrari (gasgas) ..... still brings a smile to my face when I think about it....
  5. Thanks for the reply's, two day trials are just not common enough .. we want to do this at least four maybe five times a year ... thanks for the advice ... so just to be clear - I will be ok on a new bike that is taxed and insured (no need for MOT as less than 3 years) with no lights but using hand signals. I need a speedo and a horn to ba all above board ? The plate will be a problem as a 7X9 would last till the first bit of real land then would snap off ... was thinking about one of those YOU HAVE USED WORDS OR A PHRASE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THE FILTERS IN PLACE ON THIS WEBSITE number boards (which are no were near legal size) would the police take a hard line on that or just tut tut and a warning ? .... any roads that cant be riden on using the above standards ? Thanks boys .. Darren
  6. How are your wheels holdin up monty, you had had them on for a while now !, do they mark easily when changing tyres ? fulls of nasty marks off rocks ?
  7. Hi, Ive got a road registered trials bike and myself and a mate are thinking of doing our
  8. Ultimate respect to the boys who can finish this event..... makes the scott look like a mess about on the rocks (in fitness terms) ..... I see jarvis done ok !! ... got a trials but still fancy the o'l enduro to up the pulse a bit
  9. I've been told that for the UK climate and variance in ambient temprature, the bike starts better all round on a NGK:CR5EH-9 (R-type) ..... anybody any other thoughts / experiance ? you should not have to resort to soaking the plug and getting hairdryers out, so i'd look at what is causing it to foul in the first place ? do you use 98 ron or above fuel ? ...
  10. Now you are talking, that looks the dogs danglers .... Black is the way to got without a doubt, 140 quid, returned within a week from Candy Wheels ... Nice

    Fat Bars

The converters give the bars a half inch rise on the stock bars which in turn alters the entire handeling charactristics of the bike... good luck with keeping the front end down on those long climbs and splatters :-) what you need to do the job properly is a new top yoke, spacers and fatbar clamps
  12. If you are going down that road, i'd get the rimms done in black, orange looks a bit out of place .... Orange hubs perhaps ... if you have got the repsol sticker kit,,

    Fat Bars

Me o'l mate Rich is right, I have top yoke, spacers and renthal clamps to fit the sherco 2001 onwards, all you need is the fatbars ! ..... offers ? Cheers
  14. I found mine a real pain in the a** last weekend (whilst at 'keep you feet up' hotel in Devon ... anyone else been there ??) cos it was taking 10 to 15 kicks to start !! I turned up the idle speed and this helped, but I also noticed my plug is very sooty ..... when I get a problem with the 4rt, i must admit I stand there scratchin my head wondering where to start, its gona take a bit of revision of the workshop manaual. Love the bike though, lovely power and suspension make it feel a lot lighter and nimble than it looks. my mate who rides a raga rep also got on it for the first time and looked like he'd been riding it five years throwing it all over the place. VIVA MONTESA...
  15. Sounds like a real pain, how long whould you say it will take from start (no paper work) to finish ? Cheers .. Darren
  16. Mr Ferret flashers about to take a big order after he finally get's his hands on a hope fat bar top yoke for me !! Who did you use to do your wheels ? Cheers .. Darren
  17. Thanks for the advice all. I'm the mate of Rich's who was in his garage trying to start the "?%$ing thing whilst he had the sense to post this thread. Back to Richards question, does anyone have any opinion on the ideal plug type for UK conditions ? Cheers .. "better than them dirty 2 strokes" By the way, just a note for those wanting 4rt parts - ordered a mitani bash plate from <mention of this company is not permitted on Trials Central> on tues PM and it arrived Wed AM .... Mint service.
  18. Hi, cracking looking monty. Could you tell me were you got the fork and swing arm protectors ? ... or stickers. The bike looks the dogs..
