  1. Think your mixing me up with someone else...! Basil
  2. I saw them on facebook. I'll try and find them and I'll put them on here. They were a bit blurred anyway
  3. Thats why they get no entries and trial has to be cancelled. Nobody knows things are on. Ridiculous situation as Bewdley club had a trial booked for same day but had to cancel their's to make way for Dudley club.
  4. Round 1 of the AMCA winter championship will be set up by Sutton Coldfield TC at Howards Wood for trial on 6th November. Starts at 11.00am. All classes catered for, Expert, Clubman (50/50), Non Expert, Beginner/white route. This winter championship will include the beginner/white route class. There are 10 rounds at at least 6 different venues. There will also be an overall top 3 youth award with trophies sponsored by D L motorcycles. Venue. A449 Kidderminster to Wolverhampton road. Near postcode DY7 5AJ. Expect a friendly trial with no death defying sections. No licence is required to ride and be included in the results but if you want to score Championship points you will need an Amca licence. Licence applications can be found on amca.uk.com and will also be handed out on the day. The licence will cover you till end of winter championship. Any questions just ask, Tom
  5. Yes 11am start. If your looking for local trials in the midlands area Ralph, keep an eye on Amca championship dates. First one is 6th November near Stourport/ kingswinford. 10 round winter championship. All routes catered for. (non will clash with Market Drayton dates)
  6. Yes they will have a white route
  7. I must add, there will be plenty of people to ride around with and give good advice if needed. If you decide to go, make yourself known to me and I'll give you a run down of what's going on, where sections are etc. Arrive earlier and have a look around. Tom
  8. Hi Ralph, The Dudley trial is a pre 65 i believe. The other one is the Acorns trial. Suitable for novice,? I would say so but depends on your novice level. They do a novice route which my lad and some other beginners ride.If you come across a section you dont fancy, miss it out and maybe try it next lap when you feel more confident. you can ask for a five if not. Make sure you get fives on any you dont do so you get a result.
  9. Hello Ralph1, The Amca clubs run a few midlands trials. There is one at Knighton, which is near Newport on A41 off M54 junction 3. Not sure where you are in midlands but I'm by junction 7 M6 and its just over half hours drive. Great venue, plenty of parking, relaxed atmosphere type of trial. If your not Amca licence holder, thats not a problem. most riders are guests without a licence anyway. If your interested and need more info just ask. Tom
  10. Is there any reason for this date? I would of thought it would make more promotional sense to do it during the Manx GP weekend which is also Manx 2 day trial. Or even at the TT itself where thousands will be lining the 37 & three quarter mile route.
  11. Didn't know about this Dave. I'll speak to the others about it. Thanks for the heads up on that one. tom

  14. Roger, Yes mate, they were on facebook, unusual way of informing riders. If I can use my limited computer skills I'll try and post them here. Tom
  15. Hi, I've seen results on midlands area amca facebook page. Tom
  16. Amca run a few in surrounding areas. Sutton Coldfield trials club may run a summer championship with rounds at Shatterford and near Kingswinford. Amca summer championship also starts soon.
  17. No sticker required. You'll struggle to find a trials helmet with a sticker on.!
  18. Deano, cant decide if you think thats good or bad?
  19. Hi all, Sutton Coldfield trials club are holding a trial at Howards Wood, sign posted off A449 Wolverhampton to Kidderminster road. Nearest post code DY7 5AW. Its an AMCA trial but if you have never ridden amca before, its not a problem as you can enter without licence as a guest. Expert, Clubman, Non expert, twinshock A and B but pretty much suited for all types and levels of rider. If you've never been to this venue its mainly slopes, trees, usually few logs in as well. Wont be putting any crazy sections in. Come along, all welcome. Anything you need to know, just ask. Starts at 11am. cheers tom
  20. Trials riding is so cheap its almost unbelievable. Usually £10 to £15 can get you over 4 hours of riding. What else is there you can do so cheap? Mostly thanks to volunteers. Insurance costs will kill all motorsports in the end.
  21. Doodsons are pretty good. They specialize in off road stuff. They seem to know what they're talking about.

    Ballot?

I see, thanks for that link. It seems its been talk about in length. I have absolutely no problem with the way its run and organised. One day i hope to compete myself. thanks

    Ballot?

As with a lot of the bigger trials the entries are by ballot. Is everyone in the ballot? are there seeded riders? Who's in and who's out. As always all the well known names are on the first list. Imagine Lampkin or someone like on the reserve list and not getting in. Would this be possible? Is the system a fair one? I've no axe to grind, just something I've been thinking about. Who would know the answer? cheers Tom
