  1. Not good for Epoxy/Fibreglass/Plastic Tanks.
  2. What do you use to seal the Tank when using E5/E10 Modern Fuel please?

  4. We think it might be the cables and connections being damp/wet and changing the resistance/voltage rectifier and blowing the CDI's.
  5. Most likely the CDI. We went through 6 x CDI's on our Granddaughters 2021 125 GG.
  6. The first one was actually replaced by John Shirt under warranty after they went over it like a dose of salts. But they refused to have the bike back after the second one went down.
  7. We have actually put it down to the wires and joints getting wet then sitting in a cold damp Van to and from a Trial. But it still cost us 6 x CDI's.
  8. Good luck with finding one/ We have had 6 CDI's in the last 14 months on a 2021 GG 125. We have tried everything to stop them breaking down or WHY they were failing. Even had to carry a spare in case it failed during a Championship round. Let's hope the 2022 is better or the Granddaughter is changing onto a different make for her competitions.
  9. One of the BIGGEST problems is when there is more than one person at the SAME email address. Usually Families.

  11. We are thinking it could be the Rectifier not provided the correct voltage and burning out the CDI Circuit components.
  12. I've heard the TRS ones work too but the mapping may be different. John Shirt changed the first one under guarantee, but refused any further replacements for free.
  13. 2021 Gas Gas 125 Racing CDI Problems. Does anyone know how to overcome the CDI failing? We have had 3 CDI's fail. What happens is it runs perfectly for quite some time on a new CDI then starts oiling up the plugs. After several Plug changes and failing in the sections due to the motor bogging down, the only cure is to fit ANOTHER £180 CDI. The last one was completely encased in Tape and sealer to stop any damp getting into cracks which eventually happens with a new CDI. It failed too. Is it possible the rectifier is producing the wrong current and causing the components in the CDI's to fail? It's costing Championship points and positions apart from the Bank balance disappearing fast. Any help or solution would be gratefully received.
  14. Here is a video of my 1978 SWM TL320 Engine Rattle. Is it a problem as I have heard several at Trials that sounds the same or louder?
  15. Love them. Cheap. Fit nice. Well made. Had 2 face plant crashes wearing my latest and only broke the peak. What more could you want?
  16. Hi there. We bought a 2021 Gas Gas 125 Racing on the 23rd March with the special deal of £1000 discount. There were several things that had to be sorted before it could be made ready to ride. The second time it was ridden by our 13 year Granddaughter it started mis-firing and back firing. The van we transport it in had a lot of condensation and the wires and CDI unit were damp. It had been put in the van over night after a few hours running the motor in. My son dried everything off and the motor was running well again. But after breaking down twice at trials and 17.8 hours of running it failed to re-start after a few hours of riding and had to be pushed back. On stripping everything down, it appears the problem is the CDI unit - Gas Gas 200619 - ET51100C1.CSZ-1. I understand that Competition Bikes are not usually covered under any Guarantee. But surely after having problems from day one there has to be some kind of replacement? My son fitted the CDI unit from her old 2015 GG 125 and it is running like a dream. Is there a UK Importer that would offer assistance other than the dealer we bought from who hasn't bothered to answer the query?
  17. A great idea. The only problem is that some Clubs have to pay the Land Owner for the use of the land. Restricting entries would limit what Trials a Club could afford to run.
  18. Lucky chap to have a garden as nice as that. I always wanted somewhere like that.
  19. I bought one for the Wife. Our daughter has also used it for competitions. They both like it especially for the electric start. They are a little heavier than the 2 stroke bikes, but you soon get used to them. Some of the parts are very basic, ie: Rear brake pedal. But everthing works.
  20. We don't ride on the road. Just all off track.
  21. Yes. I have some GREAT practice areas that are used for National, Classic and last September the World Trials Comps. It's a place called La Nucia. Just inland up the mountain from Benidorm. I also have a practice area around Benidorm. Here are a few areas I ride at La Nucia. The weather has been great fro the 3 weeks we have been here. I learned to use the clutch during the past 5 years, the bikes have very rarely got away from me.
  22. People keep talking about losing traction with a 4 stroke. Traction is all about control. I had 4 years of Jotagas, Sherco & Sherco factory 300 2 strokes all with fast action throttles. I bought a MH300RR last December which comes fitted with a slow action throttle. That was one thing I missed, the INSTANT response to the throttle. It did take a while to get used to that. Now, I find the 300RR to be very responsive, very forgiving and now my favaourite bike. By the way. I am 76 in 3 weeks time.
  23. My son Simon had the problem a couple of years ago. I myself was caught out at the end of last year with WSBK for this year. ALWAYS check that the subscription is CANCELLED.
  24. My 300RR is registered as HONDA.
