  1. I spoke to Malcolm Rathmell last Wednesday - He doesn't have the price of them yet, but guessed that they would be slightly more than the existing one. As I said before, US and Germany are staying the same price, so I suppose we're still guessing. Don't suppose they can add too much just for a sticker :-)
  2. I've been looking out for some local land for a while just 3 or 4 acres to keep the other half of the family happy with horses and maybe a few trials sections. Seems a bit extravagant to some, but not too expensive when added to the mortgage, but agricultural land fetches around
  3. Ishy - you're disqualified for being a flash git and owning a small county :-) Not managed to get my smilies working very well so far, so please insert large face, green with envy. Lovely job. How can I delete the photo of my back garden?
  4. I like to have a look round other peoples homepages from time to time. I was looking through your results and I noticed that your scoring seems to be in the format 5/0 for each lap. How does this work? Presumably the first mark is actual marks lost, but I couldn't work out the second digit. The results I am talking about are at: http://www.observedtrials.com/Cota%20Resul...2003-tussel.htm Just wondering. Cheers, Bikespace P.S. How have you got the results out for November 2004 already. Is it rigged?
  5. Yeah - do you remember GasGas? Whatever happened to them? They made those disposable indoor bikes with the water bottle under the seat. [E-mail sent from the future] I am the worm that turned (2 weeks ago to Sherco)
  6. Part way through development - my back garden section. I've got to introduce it slowly Need a pile more rocks yet, but its OK for hopping around on in the mean time. Once the rocks are in I can start spreading it out a bit.
  7. As far as I know you still need photo. Link below for application form: http://www.acu.org.uk/PDFs/2004_licence_application.pdf
  8. Tried it the other day and it worked just fine. Now - has anybody got a tool for lifting an upside down Fiat Punto off next doors lawn???
  9. I must admit I missed the BBC Sports Personality of the year, but I was amazed when I saw the result:
  10. The Sherco Germany website says the price will be the same as the existing one at 4395 Euros, so I suppose that works out at around
  11. Drip tray - Who you scared of??? :-) I can just about get away with hiding my air filter inside my Hebo's every week in the washing machine. I have however got away with digging out the centre-piece of our garden (various ugly shrubs and heathers) to install bloody great tree stumps and a load of rocks to mess about on. Not enough rocks for me to be proud of at the moment, but photo's available soon. Anyone else managed to bring trials to suburbia. Challenge is best section in smallest area. Bikespace

    Olle Shock

Seem to be getting little bits of info from all over the place. I've just been looking through the German Sherco site and believe it or not it actually seems to make more sense than both the American and British versions. They are announcing an Academy 125 AND 200. They also state in their spec sheets that the previous 125 and 200 have Olle shockers and the 250/290 have Sachs shockers. "Oll

    Olle Shock

Seems a bit strange. The upgrades for the academy seem to be all the things that were standard on the 290 (and presumably the others). The reports I'd read so far (including the TMX one) suggested that the bikes were identical apart from the power house. It seems like they've decided its easier to make them all the same now. I'd be a bit miffed with a 'limited edition' inferior early 125.

    04 Gasgas

I had a 2002 280 pro, bought from new and kept it 18 months. I had no end of trouble between the 6 and 9 month period (partly due to a very wet trial part filling the airbox, then a faulty fan unit spinning at half speed), then nothing for 10 months, then gearbox trouble. I loved to ride the bike, but I wouldn't buy another one until it actually seems like GasGas want to fix the obvious flaw. The airbox with a hole for the water to leak out isn't good enough for the UK weather as far as I'm concerned. I considered myself a GasGas man, but bought a new Sherco 290 last week, so we'll see how we go. Performed well this weekend in pretty bad rain, and the airbox is bone dry. These are the things that put me off the 2002 GasGas. Other people here will know if they're sorted on the 04's. I fancied a change: Airbox design Silencer design - rub through (now dented to stop rubbing) Mid silencer - poor quality (now sorted) Poor clutch - I had 3 in 18 months Very expensive plastics (seat unit, rear mudguard and decals around

    Olle Shock

It say Olle shock in all the documentation, but one of the reviews on Shercousa.com says there was a move to Sachs for the 04 models. I picked up an 04 290 last week and it has Sachs, but my mates lad has an 04 125 and it's got an Olle shocker. We're just asking Rathmell at the moment. He's getting a little concerned that he has an 03 with 04 plastics etc. Bikespace
